High Performance AM/FM Portable Radio built with Simplicity

... A Good Radio Should be Easy to Use

The new CC Radio-EP PRO is an enhanced version of the original EP. It has the same simple controls and the same high performance with superior selectivity and sensitivity. The portable CCRadio-EP PRO could be considered a super radio; built for ease of use and outstanding long-range AM with our C. Crane patented Twin Coil Ferrite™ AM Antenna. FM performance is excellent.

Great for listening to Talk Radio, NPR™, Music, and Sports. The EP PRO has a wide bass and treble adjustment range for defined music and accurate and lively voice reproduction.

A large, 5-inch speaker is combined with a hi-fidelity amplifier and a "Wide/Narrow" enhancement dial to give extra clarity to AM programs. The dial accuracy of the new EP PRO is superior to our original model. Weight: 3.1 lbs. (without batteries). Size: 11.4" W x 7.3" H x 2.75" D. Runs on four optional "D" batteries (not included). AC adapter is included.

Solid radio worth the money
I have both the EP and the EP pro. I've had the EP pro for about 1 month now and ha e to say that its better at pulling in weaker stations than the EP is. I have it on about 2-4 hours per day with the backlight on and its still running strong on the first set of batteries. As I said first thing I noticed was the clarity and sensitivity on FM. On AM first thing I noticed was the funky muting that requires you to really tune slow. But if you do youll find that the radio is also great at pulling in weaker signals and holding on to them better than the analog EP. I also feel that the sound is improved over the old EP. bottom line its been worth the money so far. Dont find basic radios in this class anymore.
PROS
Excellent FM sound and reception-sensitivity and selectivity. AM also sensitive and if you have the patience to tune very slowly youll find its selective too. So far solid battery life running at medium volume 2-4 hours each day for one month.

CONS
Funky AM muting can throw you off until you get used to it. Give it 4 out of 5 only for muting in AM.

BEST USES
Around the house on vacation. Whatever.
