The perfect combination of power, size and weight
The Unity Plus' wide beam setting is great for general illumination and can be adjusted to an intensely strong, tapered beam. At a distance of 50 feet, the light can be narrowed to only 2 feet wide, making it perfect for long distance spotting. The handle is the right size for a firm grip and self defense.
On a set of (2) C alkaline batteries (not included) you will get about 4 hours of continuous use on the high setting, and about 22 hours on low. The logic of the Hi/Lo/Flash sequence is exclusive to C. Crane. Made of rugged, black aluminum.

The best flashlight I've ever owned.
compact, powerful, adjustable beam, lasts a long time on rechargeable C batteries, nicely designed.
Its a heavy for its size, perfectly round, and will roll off a counter or out of level table, or even if you bump it with a hand or elbow.Once it drops on a hard surface, kiss it goodbye, as it can't be repaired. Its happened twice, but I'm going to give it one more shot. I do wish the of the lighting element could be toughened up, or the shape could be changed to somewhat oval, or maybe the butt of it square, so it wasn't so inclined to roll.
Away from rough conditions.

Horrible. Cheaply made. I needed it early a.m., and had a hard time opening it. Pulled on it and got all the parts. I shouldn't HAVE to figure out how to put it back, that shows how poor quality it is.

I've had this flashlight for 10 months, I use it when camping, it is bright! The beam adjusts from a large flood to a very tight square shaped beam. It is lightweight with the bulk of the weight coming from the 3 C-cell batteries.
Bright, adjustable beam that gives full light with no dark spots like many other adjustable beam lights
Its built well but it is not a heavy duty light that can be banged around for years
When you really want to shine some light on something, but don't want to have a huge flashlight. Good for camping or lighting up the backyard when you hear that bump in the night.

Impressively bright. Great idea: putting LED in a flashlight.
None so far.

The useful battery time is good, although I would want to have spare batteries readily available depending on the use intended for this light, and the other thing that I think everyone should be aware of is that these lights are not bulletproof, if you bang it around and drop it, it may not survive the battering, they are dependent upon the electronics that control the power to the LED light source.
Good size,common battery requirements,solid construction.
None that I can think of...
Use as a tactical light, general illumination flashlight

Great customer service at CCrane. Busted light replaced very quickly, no questions asked!
Powerful distance focus goes at least several blocks. I use the wider focus for nighttime dog walks. Rugged,The flashlight stopped working for some reason after a few months,But CCrane promptly took it back and sent me a new one!
None,It works very well.
The light easily slides between distance focus and a broader beam. Works great on late-night dog walks!

As a CA law enforcement officer I purchased one of these lights as a backup light to keep in the patrol vehicle. While on vacation on a hunting trip in Wyoming a friend injured an animal at last light. A group of four off duty law enforcement officers and one Wyoming Game Warden set out to track a blood trail. The tracking lasted into the early morning hours of the following day. The track started out with a full compliment of flashlights and a few backup lights. During the track my C Crane flashlight was referred to as the big light several times. By the end of the track the C. Crane light was the last light that was just as bright as it was when it started out. The ability to focus the light to a narrow beam from a large circular pattern on the ground was crucial for tracking blood, yet maintaining the ability to narrow the beam and look up and forward to see broken grasses and brush where a large animal had traveled. After locating the animal and returning to the Wyom

I bought this based on the reviews vs the other flash lights, I have owned many, I had High Expectations and I was Still BLOWN Away. Great feel in the hand, excellent weight and construction (all metal) and the best part, the focusing beam and its brightness, I cant believe this thing runs on batteries! Im buying one and shipping it to my father... If you had shown me this thing and asked me how much I would pay for it? Easily $75

This flashlight puts out an incredible (adjustable) beam. I was skeptical of its power but it has certainly lived up to and exceeded all expectations. Well constructed. I have demonstrated this flashlights ability with many friends and without exception all have been impressed. It does very well with rechargeable batteries.
