Single Earbud Optimized For Voice
The CC Buds™ Solo single earpiece provides a unique advantage over traditional earbuds because it allows you to interact better with others while listening to radio, podcasts or audiobooks (your boss will love you). The integrated stereo to mono plug works with smartphones, radios, tablets and most other audio devices.
The Solo can give you a safety advantage when running, biking, or walking because you are more likely to hear if danger approaches. The cable is Kevlar™ reinforced for maximum durability. It is perfect for scanner radio listening. Can work well for law enforcement when greater awareness is needed.
Audio is tuned for superior voice clarity. Included are three silicone and three compressible foam covers - sized small, medium and large. The small covers usually fits a small ear comfortably. Standard 3.5 mm headphone jack. Cord Length 48".

Sound wise this is a great bud.It would be much better if the plug were offset 90 degrees. I use it with a cell phone and sometimes keep the phone in my pants pocket. I have in the past broken off a plug like this when sitting down.
Sound, multiple bud tips, cord clip.

I just received the Solo this afternoon and am quite happy with it. I am using it to sample songs for playlists while I'm in the same room as my family without disturbing them. The sound is quite good and the stereo to mono is excellent so I can hear the full sound in the one ear. The 4' cable is comfortably long enough. I plan to try it with my iPod Nano for my audiobooks. I sampled it and the sound is fine, the question is whether the larger tips than the Sony I'm currently using will put too much pressure on my ear canal over longer usage. So far so good!
Good sound. Great stereo to mono. Good cable length.
only 1 small replacement bud.
Music sampling while in the same room as others. Listening to audiobooks. Listening to baseball games on my radio/iphone.

The sound was better than I anticipated from such a small ear piece
Great sound, good quality, fits on my phone, tablet and laptop
Ear canal pieces, fall off speaker too easy but it is manageable
At work, I can listen and still have an ear for phone calls and communication

I have only one good ear, so this earbud was a Godsend.
Very good sound. Very good construction. Fair price.
For older people like me, some improvement in the higher frequencies would be welcome.
Connected to an iPhone.

Lasten only half a year before wire breaking contact near ear plug
Good spoken word sound quality while it lasted
It didn't last long enough and the Warrenty Return Process would cost me more than just buying another product.
Night-time use with my small C. Crane Radio.

bought it for my wife and her radio also from C Crane and either then plug is not compatible or the wire is shorting out near the plug.

This is the best mono earphone that I have ever used bar none, They give good quality sound at a low level of the radio amplifier. They come with different sizes of the ear piece so they can fit almost anyone. I love them!
Great sound and ease of fitting.
I use them primarily at night so as not to disturb my wife's sleep.

I have used this earbud daily for two weeks. It is a quality product and allows me to privately listen to the radio in bed at night while my wife reads her books before turning in.
Crystal clear voice optimized audioComfortable fit for most anyone
Not the best for listening to music
Listening to bedside radio without disturbing anyone!Listening to audio books, podcasts, radio talk shows, news programs or listening to a pocket radio to hear the play by play.

I have been using this earbud with a small pocket radio during work for several hours a day. I frequently tend to put a lot of cord strain at the earpiece and especially at the connector. Most earbuds usually fail at the connection points for me in a short time, but this earbud keeps working.
Do not clean foam earpieces with iso alcohol - it makes them fall apart
At work - allows you to listen to material yet still interact with co-workers.

An excellent listening device for clarity and voice recognition for hearing impaired. Been listening to overnight radio for years on C.Crane earplugs needing amplification on my CCRadio2. These just plug in with plenty of volume without my hearing aids.
Quality sound for all night listening to Coast to Coast AM and other programs.
None yet in the two months of use.
Private listening with quality audio.

The Bud Solo is a great item to use while on a walk around the neighborhood. You can have conversations with your neighbors and still listen to what's going on on the scanner, or your shortwave portable.
The cord comes with a nice clip to hold it in place. Nice to see that. Good mid range audio for voice. Music sounds decent with just enough lows. The adjustable ear cups give you enough options for a good fit.
An inline volume control would be welcome. Possibly a microphone addition in the future.
Portable Scanners, Handheld Transmitters, and Small Portable Radios like the Skywave.

I mostly use it at night ... plugged into my CC-Radio2 ... audio is clear for both AM-talk-radio and FM-symphony-music ... the ear piece fits great!
I wish the cord was 5-feet long not really a con ... just a wish
I use it exclusively with my bedside radio ... I am very pleased.

Listen, what can you say about a voice optimised mono earbud? The CC Buds Solo In-Ear Single Earbud for Radio, Audio Books and Podcasts works for me, that is late night listening to my android while my partner sleeps and I lay on my pillow. The bud is supplied with a range of ear-adapters, surely one will be the one for you. I found the right one for me, and it's still comfy even if I lay on that ear.I don't know if the bud is optimised for voice but that sounds clear and good. Music, not so. But that's not the point. People with mono-hearing may say different. My android has no audio output, so I use this with a USB-C audio adapter. Works well, merging both left and right channels with adequate volume for a night-time listen but at nowhere near the volume my regular headphones reach via the same route. But in this case, that's a good thing. So, if you're looking for an IEM, this will not do. But given the job I expected it to do, my first impressions are very good, and my star rating
Great for night-time listening, melds stereo into mono, voice optimised, plenty of fit options
Not for music, but that's a given... no microphone for phone use, but that's not what it's for either
