The Long Range WiFi Bridge System is the best way to connect two locations to the same network wirelessly up to 3 miles away. This system is very simple to set up. It comes preconfigured and wired by C. Crane so there are no settings to adjust or software to install. Just attach the antennas (sold separately) to each half of the bridge, at each location, and plug them in. Use larger antennas like the Point-To-Point WiFi Antenna for long distances, or smaller antennas for shorter distances. Good line of sight without obstructions must be achieved between both antennas for best reception. LED lights on each bridging device make it easy to align your antennas with each other.

You will need to connect the first half of the WiFi Bridge, using the supplied 60" (5 foot) Ethernet cable, to an empty LAN port on your router. The Wireless Bridge then beams the encrypted Internet signal to your second location wirelessly. The second half of the system terminates with an Ethernet cable that provides Internet and network connectivity to one computer or other device such as a WiFi router. You will need power at both locations to power the Bridge.
The signal between the two points of the WiFi Bridge System are heavily encrypted for security. The cost of the WiFi Bridge System is a fraction of the more expensive proprietary systems. It provides up to 24Mbps of throughput which is faster than most Internet Service Provider download speeds. File transfer between two computers is limited to this same speed also.
Please Note: C. Crane recommends the following antennas with the Long Range WiFi Bridge System: Point to Point WiFi Antenna, 14dBi Indoor/Outdoor 2.4 GHz WiFi Antenna and High-Gain 8dBi 2.4GHz Outdoor WiFi Antenna. It is possible to use another company's antennas that use the N-female type connection however we do not recommend antennas with a higher gain than what we offer due to FCC restrictions.
This kit is designed to be plugged into a router that is configured using Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) which is the standard factory configuration of most routers. An Internet Connection is also required.

Our family has multiple homes covering almost 200 acres. The homes near the road can get internet, provided by the local cable company. But the houses further off the road are beyond what the local company will run. We had the cable company run the connection to homes up front and used the WiFi Bridge to system to provide internet connections to homes further back on the property. The speed is fantastic, and we have had no issues due to weather. The children in one of the homes are home schooled and use the internet daily for their school work and to watch online videos.

Our ISP solutions were limited to ADSL 512k or 4G LTE, neither would fit the bill. The cable provider was at the corner of our property but the build would have cost them $40k to get to us, ($20k to get permit to just to say we could cross RR tracks). We found this bridge system on a web search and bought the package with point to point antennaes. after some testing we installed it on a power pole where the cable company was on the property and beamed it 3/4mi to our on site facility. Worked right out of the box, setup instructions were clear and easily understandable. In the end we spent $1.7K for the build out saving ourselves a tremendous amount of capital investment. I have tried internet extenders and power line extenders with variable results.
