Celestron Digital Microscope

This handheld, USB microscope can be used virtually like a traditional microscope. The Celestron Digital Microscope sets up easily and is a great tool for collectors, scientists, doctors and any anyone that's curious about the beautiful world hidden in everyday objects. The built-in digital camera makes it easy to take snapshots or record short videos of whatever you're examining. You can even make a movie of blood flowing through a goldfish's fin. To take pictures you just press the orange button on the back.

The microscope provides powers 10X, 40X, and 150X magnification, the ideal combination for examining coins, stamps, insects, plants and skin samples. Law enforcement and Crime Scene Investigators can even use this digital microscope for examining and comparing fingerprints or tool marks and making a printable file.

The microscope has a rugged, metal stand to hold it steady at various heights above your specimen. A very easy and precise focus control lets you view your examined subject clearly in just a few seconds. Six bright LEDs provide an even, vivid light. Since the microscope is USB powered, no batteries or other power source are required.

The microscope comes with Digital Microscope Suite software for image capture and organization. The software has a basic measuring function that is accurate to 1/100th of a millimeter. The software is easy to install and requires Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or 7 operating systems. To use the microscope with a MAC you will need to use 3rd party image/photo capture software (like a combination of "iChat" with "Photo Booth").
