Add this unique radio to your collection, and own a part of history. This special wind-up shortwave radio is designed to withstand harsh conditions, be easy to use, and work without batteries or AC power. It receives AM, FM, and Shortwave, and it feels like the toughest radio ever made. The radio itself is powered by winding it up or by solar power and offers many hours of listening enjoyment when fully charged. It has precise tone and is made of extra thick, translucent blue plastic.

The Freeplay Lifeline Radio is produced for humanitarian projects in the developing world, and available to you only through C. Crane. As part of a special arrangement, for every Freeplay Lifeline Radio purchased from C. Crane, we will automatically donate one to the Freeplay Foundation (www.freeplayfoundation.org) to help orphaned children in Africa. These children, who live in households without an adult, use their radios to access information and educational programs.

Freeplay Lifeline Program
Last year C. Crane customer donations helped children in Rwanda gain access to radio-based education, health information and entertainment. The children who receive these radios have been severely affected by the legacy of their country’s genocide in 1994, and the increasing impact of HIV/AIDS. Having access to radios helped promote a sense of community integration throughout the lives of children in Rwanda. Through the Freeplay Foundation, C. Crane’s donations of Lifeline radios were also used to help Tsunami survivors in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. We thank you for your help in making a difference in the lives of disadvantaged children.
