The RCR-8WF is the first WiFi radio that has all the ease of use and functionality of a good clock radio. It has a straight-forward button layout and a simple menu system. The LCD display is large enough to show the time and other icons while having station and song information displayed below. The "no-tip, no-slip" design is perfect for bedside use. A top-firing speaker produces good audio quality that is accurate when listening to talk radio but lacks good bass. You can boost the audio quality by hooking up your audio system to the line-output jack.

Two fully programmable alarms can wake you to either a "kind" buzzer or your favorite Internet or FM radio station. You can also set a Nap Timer from 10 to 90 minutes. If you enjoy falling asleep to radio, you can set the sleep timer to turn off the radio up to 3.25 hours. The pleasant, reverse LCD has seven levels of brightness.

The Sangean RCR-8WF can also play MP3 files that are stored on your PC or file server.
