The Kaito KA1103 is a peculiar, yet interesting radio. It takes
a little getting used to,
but once you do you will
enjoy many features including:
268 memory presets, narrow/wide
tuning switch, music/news
switch, AM signal strength
indicator, and two alarms.
All frequency bands are
displayed analog-style,
with a digital readout
on top. External antenna,
earbuds, carry pouch, AC
adapter, and four "AA" rechargeable
batteries included.

How is the volume adjusted?

Press and release the VOL button located on the upper left corner of the radio. While VOL is flashing on the right hand corner of the of the display turn the main tuning dial located on the right side of the radio to adjust the volume. You will see the numbers on the right hand corner of the display go up and down indicating the volume level with 00 being the lowest.

There are four ways to tune the radio:
- Direct Frequency entry
- Automatic Scanning
- Memory Scan Tuning
- Jog Dial Tuning

How is the LW (low-wave) band accessed?

Manually enter a low-wave frequency (between 100 519khz), and depress the BAND+ button. From this point, the tuning knob can move up or down the LW frequency range.
