Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds until a clock with a "90" on it disappears from the LCD display.

To change from 9 kHz to 10 kHz turn the radio off, press and hold the "Up" tuning button and then press the power button at the same time. To change from 10 kHz to 9 kHz press and hold the "Down" tuning button and then press the power button at the same time.

Check to make sure the earbuds are connected to the radio.  The DT-180 automatically shuts off after 10 seconds when the earbuds are unplugged.
