The new TEAC GF-350 AM/FM Radio Turntable has a vinyl record player and built-in CD Recorder/CD Player. This means you can record your records permanently to a CD! It plays 33-1/3, 45, and 78 rpm records with a ceramic cartridge. Recording the LPs to CD is the easiest of any system we have seen. Uses blank CD-R or CD-RW discs available anywhere, but we recommend the Maxell CD-R Music to guarantee the highest quality recordings. Can also record any audio to CD that you feed into the Auxiliary Line In. The small, black console has fine acoustics and a decent modern analog AM/FM radio with tuning light. Will the Teac GF-350 record (burn) CDs from the built-in AM/FM radio?

No, it will not record CDs from the built-in AM/FM radio. The Teac GF-350 will burn CDs from the phonograph or through the Auxiliary In jacks.

Will the Teac GF-350 record from an external source?

Yes. The Teac GF-350 has two RCA input jacks and the unit can be set to record whatever is plugged into these RCA jacks by pressing the Phono/AUX button.

Does the Teac GF-350 require special CDs to record records?

Yes. The Teac GF-350 will only record on CD-R and CD-RW disks marked Digital Audio. The unit will not work with disks designed for computer files.

I just received my Teac GF-350 and the turntable will not work. Is the unit defective?

The Teac GF-350 is shipped with the turntable completely tightened down by a large screw inside the top right corner of the unit. Loosen the screw by turning it clockwise with a coin or screwdriver. If you choose to move the unit again, tighten the screw by turning it counterclockwise. The Teac GF-350 also has a gray colored plastic guard over the stylus. Before use, slide the stylus guard up.

After a previous recording on a CD-R with my Teac GF-350 the recorded CD-R was able to play in a normal CD player. Recently I made another recording on a CD-R but it will not play in my normal CD player. Why?

Each CD-R will record for 80 minutes on the Teac GF-350. After 80 minutes the recorder will automatically finalize the CD-R making it playable on regular CD players. If less than 80 minutes is recorded then you must finalize the CD-R manually before playing it on your regular CD player.

Does the Teac GF-350 have a remote control?

Yes.

No.

Disks designed for computer systems cannot be used for recording. Use disks bearing digital audio mark.

An error occurred within the unit. Press the power switch to turn the unit off, wait a minute, and turn it on again.

Error Message: Err 03

Something is wrong with the disk. Turn the unit off and on, and change the disk.
