To upgrade the firmware (V1.11):

NOTE:  Please remove any external memory cards before proceeding or an error may occur. Next, perform a firmware format to clear out all settings and files.

While the unit is on, enable the Hold switch on the side.  Press and hold the Erase button then gently press the Reset button.  Continue to hold Erase until you see Format Please Wait.  Release Erase and disable the Hold switch.
 

BE SURE TO FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW VERY CAREFULLY!

1.Connect the product to your PC or MAC via the USB Port.
2.Drag and Drop the firmware FWUP_PRY_MLX_070723_0146.YUF file to the root of the LX.
3.Disconnect the LX from your PC/MAC.
4.Turn the unit on and the firmware will upgrade. 
5.After firmware is upgraded, reset the LX unit by gently pressing the Reset button on the side.

Next Upgrade the font:

6.Connect the product to your PC or MAC via the USB Port.
7.Drag and Drop the font FTUP_PRY_MLX_070723_0146 to the root of the LX.
8.Disconnect the LX from your PC/MAC.
9.Turn the unit on and the font will upgrade. 
10.After the font is upgraded, perform a firmware format as explained at the start of this guide.


FAQ
Q. What is the root?

The top directory in a file system.

Basically the root is the main directory of the unit. Do not confuse this with a sub directory (ie. AM folder etc) that resides within the root directory. The root is the drive letter (ie. E, F, G etc depending on computer) that shows up under “My Computer” Where you normally access the LX from. Drag and drop the firmware file in there.

The firmware 1.11 addresses the following issues V1.10:
•Fixed high-speed Schedule-Timer recording problem on some FM stations.
•Minor bugs found fixed.

The firmware 1.10 addresses the following issues V1.08:
•Improved Timer-Schedule setup.
•Allows Sunday - Saturday and Mon - Sat schedules for Timers.
•Allows Schedule folders to be seen on Macs with latest updates.
•Changed "Cancel" and "Disable" settings in Timer-Schedule to read "Exit" and "Delete," respectively.
•Minor bugs found fixed.

The firmware 1.08 addresses the following issues V1.05:

•Overlap Timer recording issue solved.
•Internal Clock improved.
•Internal format option selectable while in radio mode.
•Mic-in recording procedure changed. 

User must now select Mic/Ext Mic option (under the Record Menu to line-In/Mic to Mic/Ext-Mic option) to record with a non-powered microphone.

The firmware 1.05 addresses the following issues v1.02:

•Mac ID3 Tag issue fixed. 
•Europe AM/FM band selectable: 

Press menu and select “Band Area” choose between USA and Europe and press PLAY and select YES. 

Note: All timer settings and station presets are lost when changing the band area.


Version 1.02 addresses the following issues:

•Timer recording improved, missed timer issue fixed. 
•Resume Play improved, lost resume issue fixed.
•FF/REW improved, unit stopping when rewinding long files issue fixed.
•Random play improved, more files used during random play.
