The CCRadio plus is the perfect tool for listening to news, advice, entertainment and sports. It's a reflection of C. Crane's commitment to the significance of radio in America and the special role radio plays in our homes and in our lives. When you turn on your radio, it should pull in all the information from the airwaves and deliver it to your ears with the highest quality reception and audio possible. That's why we design and build our own radios, and why we'll continue the legacy that started with the CCRadio, and grew into the CCRadio plus.
When you turn on your CCRadio plus, you may notice the speaker sounds different from other radios you've used before. We use a speaker and audio amplifier that are specially tuned to the human voice. When you tune to your favorite station, the signal meter and fine-tuning knob verify that your reception is always at its best. With today's updated NOAA radio service, the built-in Weather Radio works as an "all hazards" information radio. So, in addition to your local weather forecasts, you can use the weather band and weather alert feature to track any significant events that affect your area.
Other features include: Display light, and 5-memory preset buttons with 5 memories per band — AM, FM, Weather and TV (see news about TV band!) Audio for channels 2-13, adjustable bass and treble, clock alarm, sleep timer, auto scan, stereo headphone jack. Weight: 4 lbs (without optional batteries) Size: 11" W x 6.5" H x 4" D.
Note: The CCRadio plus, when coupled with our Twin Coil Ferrite AM Antenna, offers the best possible AM reception of anything we've ever found.

|
How is the CCRadio plus different from other AM radios?
| |
The CCRadio plus was specifically engineered to receive distant and weaker AM stations. The combination of precise digital tuning, ferrite antenna, and advanced circuitry provide exceptional long range AM reception. Audio is tuned for the human voice. It has many other useful features, but the biggest difference you will notice is on the AM band.
|
|
|
Will the CCRadio plus work in my office?
| |
If your present radio works a little bit on the station you like you will probably be very happy with the CCRadio plus. The CCRadio plus is the most powerful AM radio that you can buy, so it is worth trying in your office environment. A typical office has many different sources of AM interference. Computers, fluorescent lights, and many electronic devices cause noise that can override AM reception. Many times, the problem of electrical noise cannot be solved by any AM radio. The Twin Coil Ferrite AM Antenna should be considered at that time. For more information on this topic, check our Radio Noise Tips.
|
|
|
Does the CCRadio plus have a stereo headphone jack?
| |
Yes, the headphone jack is stereo. It is 1/8" (3.5 mm), 32 ohm jack.
|
|
|
How long do alkaline batteries last in the CCRadio plus?
|
|
Does the Weather Alert diminish the battery life on the CCRadio plus?
| |
The Weather Alert diminishes battery power on CCRadio plus. Instead of lasting 250 hours, a fresh set of 4 ""D"" Alkaline Batteries will last about 170 hours when both radio and WX alert are on. Current draw of the radio is 60-70mA at low to moderate volume. The current draw of the radio when it is off but with WX alert activated is 26mA. It is best to use the weather alert when the radio is plugged in. If the power goes out and batteries are installed, the CCRadio plus automatically switches to DC power to keep the weather alert activated.
|
|
|
How long do NiCad batteries last in the CCRadio plus?
| |
A fresh set of NiCad batteries (4000 mA) will last about 50-60 hours.
|
|
|
How long does it take to charge NiCad batteries using the AC charging adapter?
| |
If you use C. Crane's AC charging adapter from the CCRadio plus Solar Kit, it takes about 27 hours to charge 4 "D" size NiCad batteries.
|
|
|
What is the charging rate of the CCRadio plus charging adapter?
|
|
How long does it take to charge NiCad batteries using a solar panel?
| |
If you use the CCRadio plus Solar Kit, it takes 67 hours of full sunlight to charge 4 "D" size NiCad batteries.
|
|
|
Will the CCRadio plus snooze feature work with the alarm set to radio or the alarm set to beep?
| |
No. The snooze feature only works when the alarm is set to beep. The snooze feature does not work when the alarm is set to the radio.
|
|
|
How long is the power cord on the CCRadio plus?
| |
The power cord is 6 feet long.
|
|
|
Can I replace the whip antenna on my CCRadio plus?
| |
Yes. Replacement whip antennas can be ordered by calling us at 1-800-522-8863. The part number is #CWA and the cost is $9.95. Installation is simple and instructions are included, or the instructions can be downloaded here.
|
|
|
Can I hook up a wire to the AM antenna terminals on the back of the CCRadio plus?
| |
Yes. This antenna jack has been greatly improved over the previous model. We recommend attaching at least 50 feet of 20-gauge insulated wire to the radio's "EXT AM ANT" jack. It works best if the wire is at least 6 feet above the ground. If you are using the CCRadio plus in a brick building or mobile home, then we recommend running a wire outside away from the building. You will not get very good results if you just run a wire along the metal structure or along the side of the building. In areas with lightning, this could be dangerous so proper lightning protection should be implemented by a professional. In lightning areas, consider the Twin Coil Ferrite AM Antenna.
|
|
|
What is the ground screw for?
| |
In a noisy environment, it can be used to reduce radio noise and static. Use 20-gauge insulated wire to connect it to a pipe or to an 8 foot copper rod driven into the ground.
|
|
|
How do I use the "AUX IN" jack on the CCRadio plus?
| |
Plug a device, such as a portable CD player, into the "AUX IN " jack, located on the back of the radio. Then hold down the "Band" button for three seconds. The radio will beep and you will see the word "AUX" in the display.
|
|
|
Will the VersaCorder work with the CCRadio plus?
| |
The VersaCorder 1/4 Speed Tape Recorder is the perfect complement to the CCRadio plus. You have several options for connecting the CCRadio plus to the VersaCorder. One option is to set the timer on the CCRadio plus to control the VersaCorder. Another option is to set the timer on the CCRadio plus and also set an independent timer on the VersaCorder.
|
|
|
How do I connect the XM Radio to the CCRadio plus?
| |
You will need a 1/8" stereo x 1/8" stereo patch cord. These can be purchased from C. Crane Company or you can probably get one made at your local Radio Shack or audio electronics store. Once you have activated your XM Radio, connect one end of the patch cord to the line out jack of the XM Radio. Connect the other end to the green AUX IN jack on the CCRadio plus. With the power on press and hold the Band/AUX button until you hear a short beep and AUX appears on the display, then turn on the XM Radio.
|
|
|
Does the CCRadio plus have an RF amp?
| |
Yes. It is a single stage receiver with 1 RF Amp.
|
|
|
I own an original CCRadio and the display is going bad. What should I do?
| |
If (under normal use) you are having display problems with your original CCRadio, we want to take care of you. Please contact one of our customer support specialists at 1-800-522-8863 so they can troubleshoot and decide the best way to handle your repair.
|
|
|
My rechargeable batteries never show a full charge in my radio, are they working right?
| |
Rechargeable batteries will NEVER show a full charge on your radio display. Most of our radios are calibrated to read the charge of your Alkaline batteries - which is 1.5 volts at full charge. Rechargeable batteries, however, are fully charged at just 1.25 Volts, and so your radio will show a partial charge even if the rechargeable batteries have been fully charged.

Battery meter doesn't go down to 1 bar
| |
This is by design. One bar will never display on the battery meter.
|
|
|
Reset
| |
It is very rare for the CCRadio plus to need to be reset. The CCRadio plus doesn't scramble in a way that requires battery/power removal and sitting for any amount of time.
|
|
|
NiCads batteries don't fully charge
| |
Nicad batteries will NEVER show a full charge on the display. When the display shows 2 bars, the NiCad batteries are fully charged. This is due to the fact that NiCad batteries are fully charged at 1.25 volts, and alkaline batteries are fully charged at 1.5 volts.
|
|
|

| |
The LCD is designed to be viewed perpendicularly or from above. Looking at it from below gives a faded display effect.
|
|

Low Batteries on different bands
| |
Different bands do draw different currents.

| |
Low batteries. Square shows on LCD battery display.
NOTE: Different bands do draw different current.
|
|
|
Adapter won't charge batteries
| |
Check to see if batteries are installed correctly. If batteries are installed correctly, it could be a problem with the radio or the solar panel (if attached).

| WOW! Why did I wait so long??? I just got my CCRadio Plus and I've been thrilled with the quality and the kind of
stations it has pulled in. I live near Micky Mouse in FL and I picked up New Orleans and Cincinnati last night! I
usually listen to a small radio at night as I drift off to sleep. I had to replace that radio about a year ago and
thought about buying a CC radio, but the price stopped me from acting. I haven't been happy with the reception I been
getting with my small and FINALLY decided to buy a CCRadio Plus.
I'm VERY IMPRESSED! It is designed with nighttime users in mind. All the dials and controls are intelligently laid
out and the different size and shapes makes it easy to turn the right dial in the dark. I can't believe all the features
it has- like setting time when it will go on and off, so you don't miss a favorite show!
I also got the CCRadio Plus Enthusiast Kit and I highly recommend it. each of the items in the kit (Carry Case,
and the book - Radio on the Road) are quantity items.
CCranes: You have a loyal customer. THANKS! - Thomas Dowling |
|
| Please add my name to the list of happy customers who own the C. C. Radio Plus. When it came today, I immediately
unpacked it, set it up as per instructions and voila! It is everything you advertise, I can hardly wait until tonight
when I can try the night performance, but it already surpasses
the typical test. There is one station, KIRO AM Seattle, that suffers from interference in all the radios I own,
it comes in perfectly clear on the CCR Plus. I like the
way it stays put as well, good weight, rubber feet, it's not about to fly away or slip off the table, especially
with those 4 D Cells in it:-).
Thanks,
- Keith W. Enumclaw, WA |

| I just received my CC Radio back from repair I was amazed
that you covered my 2 plus years old radio under warranty and not only repaired the display (what I sent it in for)
but also replaced the RF-module which I didn't realize was bad. The radio works like new and now that I have it back
I realize how much I missed that radio. Your products and service are the best I've ever seen. Keep up the good work.
I remain a loyal customer. Browsing through your new catalog I see quite a few innovative and exciting new products.
I'm sure a few of then will reside in my home soon. Best regards

I have told my family about it. Thanks, - James |

| I have had my cc plus radio about four years now, love
it to death! listen to kgo san francisco all the time and with my other radio I couldn't even get that station. have
used it camping with the batteries and it does just as good, went on a ten day backpacking trip in the oregon cascades and
took the radio with us as it has a excellent weather station, yes it was heavy to pack but well worth the extra weight, we
had kgo up on the middle sister in the cascades. I also have the led treck flashlight, what a light!, it goes on
every backpacking trip right on the side of my pack, don't know what I did tell I got them both. if you want to spend
your money on a good light or radio do it on the cc. plus you wont regret it. my backpackin friend just ordered hers
for this summer hikes. thanks for the great product, it does everything you said it would. - Robert W. Juneau, OR |

| Hi folks. As a loyal Coast to Coast AM listener with great respect for Art Bell's and
George Noory's endorsements (and others involved -- but especially
Art -- who KNOWS his stuff), and also being an avid radio listener, I purchased the CCRadioPlus over a year ago. It
met and exceeded all expectations. I listen to stations from all over -- both FM and AM -- and the reception was incredible
and sounded as good as advertised.
So it should go as no surprise that I bought the personal FM Transmitter to broadcast from the PC throughout the house.
I have had a Belkin which does a fine job but currently runs on batteries only - rechargable of course. Some friends
with a much smaller home liked my setup and wanted me to help do that in their home. So I've given them the batteries
and the Belkin and gotten the CCrane unit!
There were very few dead spots with the old Belkin, and I could hear the broadcasts -- but just barely -- from the
neighbor's pool deck. I should NOT have been surprised that the CCrane unit gives me reception to every square foot
of my entire over 1/4 acre property -- despite advertising only 30' to 70' 'line of sight'. And with the CCRadioPlus,
I don't even need to extend the antenna until I am outside and many feet away from the source! The signal is clear
as a bell (no pun intended, Art -- but it DOES fit) to the other side of both neighbors.
I'm glad I got these from you, and have just ordered the CCRadioSWP … can't wait to get it and then I'll be
complete (for a few months anyway). I look forward into delving into Shortwave listening and will likely get the
CCRadioSW at some point. It is just a great product and despite typical warranty terms I'd bet these devices will
be working well into this 21st century!
Thanks for providing your great products at very fair prices. - Dave E. Irmo, SC |

| A CCrane radio can be your
best friend. It will never argue with you or pass judgment
on you. It is always there if you're lonely. It can sing,
play music or just talk to you. It can be loud and boisterous
or soft and easy when it communicates to you. It can go with
you at anytime to anyplace. Its life span can be renewed over
and over again. It always looks good and will never embarrass
you in public. It can take you to far away places or help
you stay close to home. It will help you visit all sorts of
entertainment centers and even carry you to all the major
sporting events. It can warn you of severe weather and even
sing or talk you to sleep if you want it to. It is always
ready and willing to do what you want it to do, when you want
it to. It can remember the places it has taken you and even
tell you the exact time of day. It will allow you to track
current events around the world and allow you to listen to
talk show hosts you may want to speak to. It will permit you
to listen in many different languages and does not discriminate
against anybody. The best part is that you don't have to set
and stare at it in order to enjoy what it does for you. When
you purchase a CCrane radio, your not just acquiring the most
modern technology available, you are acquiring what may end
up being your best friend. Trust me when I tell you that I
know all this is true, because I ended up falling in love
with my CCrane radio. - Jerry Pearce |

| Hi my name is Dave and I first
heard about the CC Radio Plus on Art Bell's program about
nine years ago. I've been an AM DXer for years, ever since
the 60's. And this radio is the best am radio that I've ever
used. I ironically live where the world's first commercial
radio station signed on-Pittsburgh, PA.
With the CC Radio Plus, I have not only heard stations
such as KFI in LA to stations in the Caribbean. This radio
is the best for long distance reception.
In the day, here in Pittsburgh, I can hear stations in
Detroit, Buffalo, and Cincinnati, all from 2 to 3 hundred
miles away. This radio is so good that I am going to purchase
1 or 2 more. Thank you for a great product and the delivery
and service was above all excellent. I will always be a
loyal customer of the C Crane Co. - Dave C. Pittsburgh, PA |

| The GE
Superadio III is a good radio that has been around for
a long time, but is showing its age. The analog dial isn't
as precise as more modern digital tuners, and while the
woofer/ tweeter speakers are wide range, the radio tends
to overload, even in a suburban environment. The CCRadio
plus, on the other hand, is a modern, digitally-tuned
receiver that performs well on the high end of the broadcast
band - where the GE Super does not. If you want a boom box
to blast out a station ten miles away, this is where the
GE is at its best. On the other hand, if you want to pick
out weak signals, the CC Radio Plus clearly comes out on
top. One winter evening I was able to listen to WLW in Cincinnati,
Ohio from the mountains of Colorado. Not a bad catch given
that the station was 1100 miles away. Read Rob Sherwood's
complete evaluation of the CCRadio Plus vs. GE Superadio III. - Rob Sherwood President, Sherwood Engineering Inc. |

| I just made it to my office which has power. I own the
CCRadio Plus and I have loved it since the day I bought
it. The reception is great and I have picked up AM stations
very strongly from well over 1000 miles away on certain
nights. Just a few days ago, Missouri has been hit with
the largest natural disaster the state has ever seen when
over 200,000 people in the state lost power due to an ice
storm. People were hurrying to buy C and D batteries and
they were virtually impossible to find. I have the same
pair of batteries that I have had in my radio for about
6 months now. While I keep my radio plugged in while at
home, I have used it quite often on battery power at work.
My radio is still on the original set of batteries after
the ice storm hit and 3 1/2 days of very heavy battery use.
I don't know how much longer they will last, but I have
finally obtained another set of D batteries. I have been
told it could be well over a week before I get my power
back, and I am not the least bit worried about my CCRadio
Plus running out of juice. - Todd Springfield, MI |

| LOVE THIS RADIO!! I have wanted this radio for years and finally my wonderful new wife bought it as a Christmas present.
For anyone who is into radio, or someone who is not but Loves someone who is this is the Ultimate Radio. I am getting
stations that I never heard of New Orleans San Antonio Chicago are some so far. I live in Omaha so I was quite surprised.
Even on the weak stations the sound quality is almost equal to our local fifty thousand watt boomer 1110 KFAB NO KIDDING.
And you are serious when you say the speaker is tuned to the human voice. Thank you very much for this wonderful
gift of radio. - Phillip N. Bellevue, NE |

| For years I would listen to coast to coast am radio being broadcast on a station located in Charlotte NC The fade
out was often and bothersome but it was the best I could do with my radio at the time. I live in Baltimore County
Md and finally decided to take Art Bell's advise and purchase a CCRADIO. I am proud of my decision. The fade out is gone
and I now have two CCRADIOS and am considering purchasing another one. If you like radio listening the CCRADIO will
do you proud. Now coast to coast am is broadcast in Baltimore City but at times it is preempted by an event so I just
tune in to the station in Charlotte NC. In addition C Crane Co. has never let me down with all the
products I have purchased from them. Bob Crane even personally called me in response to a letter I mailed to C Crane Co.
We are fortunate to have such an honorable company to deal with. Sincerely, - Sid P Buford, GA |

| I got a "CCRadio plus" when the plus first came out some
years ago for Christmas. I heard about it on the old Dreamland
show with Art Bell on my (at the time) great alarm clock
static radio. It was the best Christmas gift I ever ask
for. It has been with me loyally every night with my pillow
speaker since. If you would like to have a quality Radio
no exceptions then get one you will never part with it.The
sound is great. If you took me to a store full of radios
I would pick the CCRadio plus any day. - Michael Smith NC |

| I bought a second CC Radio Plus because the first one I bought was so impressive. A buddy also bought one after
I lent him one to try because he had been looking for something that would pull in stations he liked that were hard to listen
to. These radios are the best I've ever owned and have a tremendous clear and full sound. I love the clock radio
capability and the audio and recording jacks on the back as well as the headphone jack. I use them to record late
night programs and even to play CDs through the radio speaker. This radio does it all. Please don't change a thing on it.
Am about to buy a 3rd one to put in my shop. I guarantee anyone who buys one will not be disappointed in the slightest
with it's performance or its versatility. - M.V. San Diego, CA |

| We do not own a TV and depend on radio for news, weather and entertainment. Been a long-time listener of the Art
Bell/George Noory program. When I heard about your CC Radio Plus I decided to order one and never regretted it. The
only improvement I can think of is a digital recorder to record our favorite programs.
When the local station decided to drop Coast to Coast I complained, to no avail. I searched and found Coast to Coast
on a North Carolina station. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe I could tune in to North Carolina!
A few months later, another local station picked up Coast to Coast. I listen at night with pillow earphones and find
it easy to operate the radio in the dark. The pre-set feature and the weather station is vital to those living in the
hurricane state of Florida. - Geri Vero Beach, FL |

| I have a local AM radio station that I had been unable to receive reliably and really wanted and needed to hear.
I had only found one radio that would pick it up at all and it was intermittent and very weak and hard to hear.
I heard about CCRadio plus in an advertisement on another local radio station and decided to give it a try. It is
the only radio I have ever found that consistently gets that difficult station strongly.
Thanks for the great product. - D. Henry VI |
|
| Hello, I heard about your radio listening to Art Bell on Coast to Coast. Now that George Nori took over I still am
an avid late night AM radio fan. Your radio lets me finally hear clearly what they are saying. I received it today for
my Birthday and I love it ! Thanks again, - Rose B. Athens, IL |

| Dear Sir, The CCRadio Plus is the finest radio I have ever seen.
Sturdy and well built, it has a powerful sound combined with carefully designed features. It is easy to tune and
the five reset buttons are a real plus. The lighted display readily shows stations and time. Your fine tuning knob brings
in stations strong and clear with no fading. I live in a Philadelphia suburb and listen to a radio station from Lousivlle,
Kentucky with ease. It is simply the best product on the market for radio listeners. Thank you C Crane Co! - R.Z. Hatboro, PA |

| I just wanted to let CCRANE know that the CCRADIO PLUS helped us get through the last 13 days. I am a member of
the New Orleans Police Dept. for the past 28 yrs. I have been working in the city from day one. Before I reported
for duty on Sunday, August 28th, 2005, I disconnected the CCRADIO PLUS from my VersaCorder and packed it in my bag.
We lost the use of our police radios and cell phones of early Monday, August 29, 2005. We were able to stay up with
current events by listening to the CCRADIO PLUS, a rumor was started that a second hurricane was in the gulf but
I used the weather alert to verify that the rumor was not true. I also used the television channels and on several
nights when I had to sleep in the police cruiser I used the alarm feature to wake me up. This radio should be standard
issue for all police officers working natural disasters. Respectfully,
- Sgt. Joe N.O.P.D. |

| Hi, I just wanted to thank you for one of the best Christmas
presents I have every received, a new CC Radio Plus. I have
lived in a very difficult reception area between Sydney and Canberra in Australia, and the CC Radio Plus enables
me to receive 2UE Sydney crystal clear at night and 2CC Canberra during the day. I emailed technical support at
C Crane to see if I could use a 6V DC adaptor to run off the 240V AC, the answer was yes, and I can confirm it works
very well without the need for batteries. My previous radio looked like the CC Radio Plus, but was clearly a 'base'
version from another supplier, it didn't have the external aerial or audio adaptors at the back, nor did it have the
receiving power of the CC Plus. Thank you again for providing me with a superior radio that is not available in Australia.
Regards, - Ian Smith Australia |

| I can't say enough about this radio! Your book says that
if you can even hear a station faintly, this radio would
make a big difference. I'll be honest with you, the stations
I wanted to listen to out of Toronto I couldn't even hear
before. I'm a good four and a half to five hour's drive
from Toronto (about 250 miles east, over HILLY terrain known
as the Canadian Shield.) and this little gem is recieving
the 4 main stations I wanted with no external antenna. Thank
you. I don't often (well, never) contact companies to help
them sell a product but this thing is absolutely amazing!
Thanks again - David Ontario, Canada |

| "Dear Friends, I just unpacked my new CCRadio
plus and I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself
I'll admit I had a few reservations about investing $159.00
for a portable radio
not anymore. The Plus is simply a fine piece of equipment
well worth the purchase price.
I'm impressed with the look, feel and sound. The controls are well thought out and easy to operate and I really liked
the fact that it didn't require a degree in electronics to set it up. I had mine programmed in about five minutes
and it REALLY does provide a better listening experience. Both the AM stations in my area are a bit fuzzy at night
but the sound from the Plus is clear and crisp. The FM sounds great too! I can't wait to dial up my favorite talk shows
tomorrow morning! Thanks for offering such a fine product." - Barry Fayetteville, NC |

| "Dear C. Crane, I put the CCRadio
plus at the top of my Christmas wish list and my family bought one for me. It absolutely lives up to your advertised
claims. It is a joy to use. From Indianapolis, I've pulled in stations from Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis, Washington
D.C. and beyond: this from inside an aluminum sided house! Now I have a choice of stations to listen to at night (I
like using my radio with a pillow speaker). It is simple and easy to use, and the "heft" and feel of the
radio is very solid. The sound quality is great, not just for talk radio but also for music. I'm grateful the radio
has stereo out on the headphone jack. I have tried several radios... and none have the sound quality, reception quality
or durability that this radio has. One of the reasons I wanted this radio was to end the cycle of searching for
just the right radio for portability and bedside listening. Thanks so much for a great product, and a good value.
God Bless,"

| "C. Crane Company I just have to write you to tell you what a great radio
you have in the CC Radio. I have owned a CCRadio for 5 years now. I was recently packing for a trip to the river when
I placed my radio on top of my truck. I finished putting gear into the truck, closed the door and took off. Well,
about three blocks from home I heard something hit the bed of my truck. I looked in the rearview mirror and to my horror
I saw my CCRadio hit the pavement, bounce a few times and slide down the street about a hundred feet. my first thought
was, " I guess I"ll go ahead and order a CCPlus because that radio is finished." I got out, picked
up the radio, batteries and battery cover. When I got to the river I put the batteries in thinking this thing will never
play again. To my suprise it worked perfectly! The only damage is a couple of small scratches. Absolutly amazing!
Not only the best AM radio, but the tuffest too! Thanks for great radios," - Charles Griffin, GA |
|
| "C. Crane, let me comment on CCRadio
plus.
Bravo! Truly amazing. For its light weight, power, features,
sensitivity, three minute time to apply power to the RAM, quality of sound, TV band, weather alert system, clock radio,
memory channels & much much more; I am very pleased with your radio. I am going to keep it and not exercise
your 30-day return policy. In fact, I am seriously thinking of buying one for my best friend as an X-mas gift. Will
I be too late??? I love the TV band option. This way I can hear McNeal Lehrer on Channel 9 (nine) while I am downstairs
working in my kitchen
a nice compliment to my collection of radios!
Thanks for a "great piece" of electronic equipment! In modern $$ (dollars) it is worth every penny.
Respectfully,"

| "I received your $159.95 CCRadio
plus (AM/FM/TV etc.) It is, without a doubt, the BEST AM broadcast receiver I've ever owned --- and I've owned
many. Here in Red Bluff, AM stations such as those in San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, fade out, and stay
out for several minutes. I gave up listening to talk during late evenings.
Your radio has changed all of that. Not a single station of my choice faded away for well over two hours last night.
I couldn't be happier. C. Crane has come up with a winner...The radio is the greatest!!"
- Russ Red Bluff, CA |

| "I am 49 now, and I have been a serious radio listener and Dx'r since I was 7 or 8 years old. I have always tinkered
with audio electronics, and have also been an engineer with a well known broadcast console manufacturer for over 23
years. I want to command you on the design and implement of what is the best radio that I have ever purchased
the
CCRadio plus. I have heard them all, and owned many dozens of
portable, table and "HiFi" radios and tuners. It is obvious that some serious collaboration and ingenious
thought went into this design. I would not know where to start with all of the features that I like. I do know that
during the first few weeks of enjoying it, when I asked myself
"but will it do this"
it did
it, and more. I hesitated to buy this radio after hearing about it on Art Bell's program after I discovered the price.
After reviewing the catalog and website, I had to try it all after many disappointing purchases from the standard
retail outlets. I must try to comment about a few features anyway. I like the ergonomics and layout of all of the buttons
and controls. Everything can easily be set, changed, or adjusted from a bedside, in the dark. The sound quality
is very good for talk or music with a well matched amplifier and speaker. The display is easy to read and provides good
feedback of all of the functions. Probably my favorite is the stepped tuning function and feel, along with up/down
tuning buttons, and especially the fact that you can really listen in while tuning for Dx'ing purposes without hard
muting and without overwhelming noise at the same time. It picks up stations very cleanly like no other radio that
I own, and I am in a marginal listening area here near the east coast of North Carolina. I like the way the volume
level is very well calibrated and has good range and accuracy at low listening levels. I like to see separate Bass and
Treble controls, even though I have yet to need to use them on this radio. The multidirectional FM antenna and external
AM antenna are welcomed features. I will stop here, but all of the other features are appreciated. I cannot find
anything that I do not like about this radio. It is the radio that I have been waiting for.
Best Regards,"

| I am the proud new owner of the "CCRadio plus" and I couldn't be more satisfied. I purchased the radio
for selfish reasons. Our family had planned a camping trip to a remote area. Our group consisted of 6 families comprised
of 12 adults, two dogs, and a couple of million kids. I was very much looking forward to the experience with one
exception. The Cubs and Cardinals had a three game series that weekend. I figured that if I had a capable radio and
earbud, I could appear to be joining in on the campfire activities while in reality be very much immersed in the
games. So I did my research and ended up with the CC
Radio plus and the Voz earpiece. Took it out of the box right before heading to the campsite. Not only did it
work beyond my expectations, it impressed me with it's quality. The one thing I appreciated the most was the "voice"
tuned speaker. I had never realized that the typical "music" oriented speaker muddied the spoken voice so much until
I heard the Crane alternative. Realize that Ron Santo (Cub announcer) can be hard to understand even with state of
the art equipment. However, my little scheme didn't work out too well. A couple of guys noticed that I was plugged
in and asked what I was listening to. When I told them it was the Cub/Card game, they insisted that I pull the plug~~~and
go to the speaker. So we all sat around the campfire listening to the Cubs getting brutalized once again. As a final note,
I didn't even pay any attention to the weather channel offerings of the radio. Didn't care. Until the next day when we noticed
that the sky was a greenish black. I tuned in the closest weather station and was informed that a flock of tornados
was headed our direction and that we probably wouldn't be all that safe in the southeast corner of our tents. So we
broke camp and headed home. Everyone was in a funk on the way home because of the busted weekend. I, however, was
in hog heaven with the Voz clipped to my left ear keeping me up to date on that days Cub thrashing.
Thanks for providing great products. - Steve Normal, IL |

| I just received my new CC Crane plus radio and fm transmitter. I could not be more
pleased with my purchase, it and the transmitter do exactly what I wanted. Liz was very helpful in
giving me the info I needed to make the correct purchase. I am now picking up stations that with
other radios I only got static. Thanks for the quality product and helpful staff. - Doug L. Clarksdale, MS |
|
| Like most folks who bit the bullet and paid the price for a C.C.Crane radio plus,
I couldn't be more pleased. I have been using the CC for quite a few years now in our bad-reception
mountainous area of the country. It will pull in AM and FM signals NO other radio has been able to
get. For anyone hesitating getting one, don't hesitate. For talk radio, this may be your only radio
to get those signals. And the sound is wonderful, no static, no antenna necessary most of the time.
It's worth the price. - Meriam Matthews Lake Toxaway, NC |
|
| I have just received the CCRadioplus.
I have one word...A-M-A-ZI-N-G!
I love talk radio and this is a wonderful experience. I picked up AM radio stations that I didn't
know exsisted. Will highly reccommend this to my friends. Thank you! - Nola Stover |
|
| Amazing! The CC Radioplus is an incredible product. I live in northern Indiana and this radio
picks up stations in Florida and Texas, among others. Sound is terrific and I get very little static from distant s
tations and none at all from the surrounding states. My only regret is that I didn't get one sooner. If you
listen to AM radio you have to have this radio. - Charles |
|
| This past summer my beautiful wife bought me a CC Radio Plus for my birthday.
The only complaint that I have is that it makes all my other radios sound mufffled and distorted. The CC Radio Plus is,
without a doubt, the clearest, sharpest radio signal I have ever heard. And at night it's wonderful to listen to Boston,
New York and Charlotte, NC AM stations way down here in South Florida. It's the best birthday present I ever received.
Thanks for the great gift, Victoria and thanks, C. Crane.for making such an outstanding product. It really lives up to
it's ads on "Coast to Coast." - Jonathan Murphy Wellington, FL |

| Greetings,I just got the CCrane Radio Plus as an early Christmas present from my wife and now love my job
even more. My parents have a Plus and use it a lot so I knew what direction to point to for a good AM radio. I am a Letter
Carrier with a driving route with a lot of time to listen to AM but get so much interference with the radios I have tried.
The Plus radio almost seems like it was made for me. First of all it picks up all the bands with easy and no interference
(using the car plug accessory I ordered).Second it sits between the dash and the front window (speaker facing the window) with
ease. Third ALL of the buttons I need are on TOP which is so easy to switch bands or stations. I think this radio may out last
me so I can use it at home when I retire. Perfect choice for any Letter Carrier or Delivery person. Great job. - Loren Kuhnly Duluth, MN |
|
| I bought the c.c. radio a while back and love it, I have always loved am radio even when I was a kid
back in Ohio. I use to pick-up , Des Moines, Iowa, Nashville, Tn., New Orleans, LA. and now years later it has always
been hard to find a good radio that will reach out in the night time to search the airwaves and bring in the distance
stations like the old radios did till the c.c radio came out and it knocks all the other radios out of the ball park.
I just wished I had found it years ago, thanks c.c. radio. - Roger Larkins Chubbuck, ID |
|
| I have just placed my 4th order with ccrane. My first order, a ccradio plus, was far beyond my expectations
for performance and quality. All the other products were as good as my first. Bob, the customer service and product quality
are to be commended. You have a customer, and PR Man for life. Shopping on the internet would be perfect, if everyone ran
their company as you do.Many Thanks, - Bill Lawrence Marilla, NY |

| I received my CC RadioPlus as a gift in 2002. I enjoyed my radio immensely and especially the weather band
aspect of it. In 2008 my CC RadioPlus stopped working. I called the CRANE company and was told I had a lifetime warranty
on the radio. I returned my radio and after a few weeks it was returned to me like new. CRANE has great customer service
and I would highly recommend a CC RadioPlus to my friends.Thank you, - Bob El Paso, TX |
|
| I bought my wife your CC Radio Plus in 2002, six years ago. Recently wife complained that she could not
change the stations any longer. I noticed that the background light was out and several of the led’s also.
I contacted C. Crane expecting to pay several dollars in order to get the radio repaired, but was surprised to learn that
all I had to do was ship the radio back to your factory and all would be repaired at no cost. Yesterday the radio arrived
fedex and all was working great. Thanks C. Crane we deffinately recommend your products. - Steve Tadlock Lakeside, CA |

| 9/13/2008 | Received the CCradioplus today, 9/13/08, and It is
everything you say it is. AM reception is better than any radio I have owned, and, well,
everything is great. Glad I found it on sale on your web site. - Freeman Richland, GA |
|
| No doubt, hands down this is the best radio for listening to AM radio there is.
The quality speaker masks the fact that the brilliance of this radio is in the technical design
of the receiver. I'm ordering a second one for my kitchen to go with the one in my bedroom.
Also great for FM and Weather. - Bill Chester, VA |
|
| I have one of your CCRadio's and particularly enjoy listening to the TV band when
I retire at night so I can listen to the news and the Leno Show. Is there no way to receive this
TV band after February 2009 since the move to digital? - Don B. |
|
| I am a very satisfied C Crane customer. I own several C Crane products, CCRadio
Plus, VersaCorder , DT-200VX Pocket radio and the Freeplay Plus radio. I find all of the
products I have purchased to be of high quality. The company is excellent to deal with.
I believe that you will be very happy if you choose to be a CCrane customer. - Steve Basic Poland, OH |
|
| I purchased a cc radio plus 3 years ago mostly just to listen to coast to coast.
I now use it for all its features it is all you say it is and more. Does the cc in cc radio plus
stand for CRYSTAL CLEAR? IT IS JUST THAT............ - Stevie A. Melbourne, FL |
|
| I have had my CC radio for a long time and am very happy with great AM reception,
which is mostly why I bought it. My only complaint is that the digital display failed after about
five or six years of use. The information shows somewhat, but not so that it is readable. I still
use the radio since there is nothing better for weak AM signals, but can now only effectively use
stations that are assigned to a preset button. If not for this one problem, this is the perfect
radio. Wondering if this problem was ever fixed over the years? Thought you might post my
testimonial along with verification that this issue was corrected at some point to inform your
customers, and generate a few repeat buyers like me who would gladly replace this radio if not for
this concern.Thanks, - Chuck |

| 7/10/2009 | We live in far western North Carolina, near the Tennessee line at 4000 feet and happen to love talk radio. AM reception up here is very poor. These radios are great for AM and FM is not to be sneezed at either. Yes it is mono through the one well-tuned, large speaker but it features line-out and headphones-out jacks, and supplies stereo feeds on FM and also has a line in which can input a stereo signal. Other features too including terminals for antennas, weather band warning and what is now an almost worthless TV band. Since we still get some of these mountain TV retransmissions in analog, we still get a TV station or two but that is a non-feature now.
We use ours in conjunction with an FM transmitter using the line out to retransmit AM-talk to the whole house on a free FM channel. We love it. This radio has specific applications and fills them well. We take both radios with us during our winter RV trips.
The display has been an issue on both CCRadio Pluses. CCrane replaced them for free (other than the UPS charge for me to get the radios to them for repair).
I would buy another for my applications but two is enough. - J. K. Waynesville, NC |

| 8/5/2009 | Dear C. Crane,
I moved to Delaware 10 years ago from New York. Being a huge N.Y. Yankee fan I wished for an AM radio powerful enough to pick up the Yankee broadcasts 300 miles away. I purchased a CC Radio Plus as it was said to be the best. To my utter amazement I plugged it in and heard my first Yankee radio broadcast in 10 years loud and clear! However, when I moved the radio to my bedroom where its permanent location is all I heard was a loud hum. I read the troubleshooting section in the owners manual and found a faulty electrical switch. A radio problem and electrical problem solved. Thank you C. Crane. Go Yanks!!

| 8/31/2009 | On most counts the CCRadio Plus is the finest radio available. Got mine in 03 on its features not the hype. Found out it did live up to the hype! Will get me the CCRadio-2 in the spring. This is my main bedside radio. Thanks to Coast nighttime program that led me to this radio. The HOLLY GRAIL above most of all radios. More important this fine Company with the best radios C. Crane! Said it ALL! - Buck Reid Jr. Muncie, IN |

| 10/9/2009 | Hello, About 4 years ago I was looking for a portable radio to replace the one we had in the kitchen; failing after 20 years. I found one on Amazon but then looking at the picture of the radio I saw your logo and then found your website. I then order it from you cheaper than on Amazon and with free shipping. Your rep also assured me that it would arrive in time for Christmas; it did. We have been very satisfied with it. Yesterday our NYC classical station WQXR moved from 96.3 to 105.9 a much weaker station; only 600watts. Living 34 miles from the Empire State building we thought we would have only fair reception with out possibly an outdoor antenna. Well below is my first day report posted on the WNYC-new owner-Listeners Forum. “Reception in Massapequa Park-34 mi. out on LI Kitchen-C .Crane Radio--excellent Bed Room-Bose Radio-good--needs antenna Living Room--30 year old Onkyo receiver-no reception-106.1 completely overpowers 105.9 So thankfully the change over wasn't as bad as I though it would be.” So again Crane comes through. You tout voice reception but music reception has always been fine. I also noted that the person posting before me also noted that while living in a fringe area his reception on his Crane radio was very good. So, no complaint, just want you to know people appreciate your products. I think I have an antenna for my Bose radio somewhere, but if not I'll be in touch. - Walter Henry Massapequa Park, NY |
