Calamity Kit-2 includes the CC Observer AM/FM Weather Radio and the CC Windup Lantern. The CC Observer has an LED Flashlight built into the end of the radio, and a nice handle for easy carrying. You can charge the CC Observer by cranking it, plugging it with the optional AC/DC charger, or by using 3 "AA" batteries. The crank can even be used to charge its internal, user-replaceable battery. The CC Observer has an exceptional AM receiver that makes it easy to hear those far off stations at night as well as an FM receiver and weather band to listen to important NOAA weather broadcasts. The Calamity Kit-2 also includes the CC Wind-Up Lantern. The CC Wind-Up Lantern is lightweight and collapsible, and will give you endless hours of light while in a blackout, camping, or hiking. The compact design fits easily into a closet or a car trunk for emergencies and is light enough to carry in your backpack. It has 15 bright white LEDs that can be dimmed to 9 LEDs to suit your lighting needs. Best of all – it's a wind-up! The CC Wind-Up Lantern will even charge most cell phones. Just five minutes of winding gives you 15-20 minutes of light or five minutes of cell phone talk time. The crank folds neatly into the top of the lantern when not in use. It can also be powered by the 12 Volt DC vehicle adapter (included) or with the optional AC adapter. When fully charged the lantern's onboard NiMH battery will provide five to seven hours of light.
