I purchased some CC VIVID Suns Dusk LED bulbs to try out around the house and ended up using them in a way I hadn't thought of.

I find that these bulbs make excellent replacements for the globe incandescents found in some above-the-mirror bathroom fixtures.

Some images are attached. The first (globe1) shows the original 60w globes. The second (globe2) has three LED's and two globes for comparison. The third (globe3) shows all five LED's in place. (The bathroom is also lit by a 100 watt equivalent CFL bulb in a central overhead fixture.)

Going from 300 watts to 10 isn't too bad! I don't know if I'd recommend it for households with girls who spend hours in front of the mirror, but it works for me!
