An electronic lumen test instrument was used at one foot away from the bulb in a dark room. This is for comparison only as a standard lumen test must be done in a specific manner with specialized equipment. The terms Lux and Lumens are interchangeable. Note the GeoBulb outperformed both 4-watt and 11-watt incandescent bulbs in Test A below. This makes the GeoBulb very good for a fixture which directs light directly down or up.
