The original CC Trek 4-LED Flashlight started the flashlight revolution in 1998 and is still the one by which to be measured. You get over 40 hours of bright light, and after that, over 100 hours of useful light. The long battery life and shockproof, slim design make this the perfect flashlight for a backpack or purse.
The soft, even light cuts through darkness better than incandescent flashlights and without the frustration of a fragile filament bulb. The 4 LED bulbs last up to 30,000 hours. Durable "twist on/twist off" switch. Tested waterproof to 160 feet. Elasticized lanyard included. Highest quality. Uses 3 cost-efficient, convenient "AA" alkaline batteries (included). Also available in yellow. 38 lumens. Weight: 4.5 oz. Size: 7.4" x 1.3" dia. Made in USA. U.S. Patent # 6,168,288. C. Crane Company Exclusive. 5-year limited warranty: Your flashlight is guaranteed to be defect free in regards to materials and workmanship for five years from the date of original purchase on parts and labor. This warranty excludes O-rings and lanyard, which are warranted for 30 days. Due to their higher voltage output, we don't recommend lithium type batteries for use in the CC Trek LED Flashlight. |

Very bright. But one of the LED's only works some of the time. What could be wrong? Also is very hard to turn on.

Purchased this product in October of 2009. It has worked flawless since then. To date I have not replaced original alkaline batteries. It works great in Belize's humid environment without problems. Two years later I am purchasing another one for my wife to keep in her vehicle. At first it seemed expensive but I have more than gotten my monies worth. I recommend this product highly.

I created a PDF file for your CC Trek LED Flashlight. Perhaps it's just me, but I feel PDF documents give "Status" or "Street Cred" to most products. This is the first LED Flashlight I remember; I remember learning about this unique flashlight on the Art Bell show many years ago. If Sir Arthur Conan Doyle were with us today, Sherlock Holmes simply wouldn't leave 221B Baker Street without his CC Trek...After filling his pipe with some Shag Tobacco of course. Professor Moriarty would also be the greatest "Stealth Hacker" in the world; his hacks are invisible but Holmes knows they're his hacks!

After over a decade of service, my old blue Trek Light finally took its last breath, right after I ordered a replacement in preparation for its anniversary and retirement. The base of the housing peeled away, hanging on as if it still wanted to carry on. It's not gone. I've placed it on a corner shelf on one of my display cabinets, amidst priceless works of art. There it will sit, among other expressions of perfection that have survived time itself before giving up, never losing their simple beauty and elegant engineering. Without this light, I'd have been dead on numerous occasions. It was time, and it waited to go until the day after my order came through, ready to perform all the way to the end. It's almost like it knew it was soon to be relieved. So, now your thirty dollar light sits on a shelf that's worth thirty grand, and, to me, it's the most valuable piece of art up there; because, without so simple a thing, I wouldn't be around to enjoy that shelf. It's not only that light that I credit my occasional survival to, it's more importantly the people who designed and built a no-compromise piece of equipment that I could always rely on without question; a piece of equipment that finally gave up, but only when it was sure that it's younger brother would be there to protect me for another decade. That is why I've ordered another. One to relieve my long-standing companion of service in places unmentionable, and the other to keep at home, ready for anything civilized life can throw at me. Thank you.

I bought a C Crane Trek Light when it first hit the shelves, over a decade ago. In that time, a great many things have happened, and through it all, this flashlight has been there. Mine is the original Trek Light, in translucent blue with a likewise translucent white bezel, and fitted with two simple LEDs. I have owned many flashlights, including Surefire, Streamlight, Pelican, and many other high priced brands. They are certainly good products, but none of them can compare to the reliability, battery life, and overall versatility of the Trek Light. This flashlight is among a small number of pieces of equipment that has managed to survive all that I have managed to survive. The Trek Light has never failed me. Through the Army, the private sector; on expedition, in adventure, and even around the shop and home, this flashlight has always had what it takes to get the job done. It is the best flashlight I’ve ever owned. Were I to detail my life and my uses for this light, one might think me somewhat short of sanity. Of course, it takes someone that is a bit “off” to produce such a fine piece of gear and sell it for such a low price. Your product has literally kept me alive in some ways that you would find difficult to imagine. I know gear, and I know flashlights. This is the best on the market, bar none, especially considering the fair price. There are many good specialized lights on the market, but they all have heavy drawbacks and high prices. I know; I own most of them. This is the jack-of-all-trades, the one light that will work in any environment, and for any purpose. When everything else is dead or broken, this darned thing is always ready for action. One can ask nothing more of a piece of gear. My original model still works perfectly, and I am proud to have ordered another one. C Crane and their wares are an asset to adventurers the world over. For those of us who lead incredibly strange lives, these flashlights are built to withstand such strangeness.

A few months ago, I purchased a Trek LED Flashlight from your company with the plan of using it to assist me in sport diving for abalone and lobsters. Attached are some photos of my recent California Channel Islands lobster diving trip. The light was a great help to look into holes for lobsters at sixty foot depths. I especially like how light weight the light is so that it does not get in the way while grabbing lobsters. The only recommendation I have is that you sell this light with a better lanyard.

"Dear Mr Crane, Just a short note to let you know all is well with the world. I ordered one of your 2 LED
Trek Lights with the accessory kit in May. This was for a business trip to Kuwait scheduled for June. I ordered
the thing a little late, but had enough time for it to arrive here in Upstate NY before my departure. The Friday prior
to my departure the package arrived, only to see it was only the accessory kit minus light. A quick call to your
company and a short chat with one of the fine ladies there. She researched the problem and said she would overnight
the light so I would have it prior to my flight on Tuesday. The light arrived here about four hours before I locked
the door and headed for the airport. One reason I chose your light was the long battery life. I am retired military
and do contract work overseas in support of the Department of Defense and State Department. Many times as with this
contract I am not close to normal support systems. I used your light every night for just over 30 days, not sure how
many hours it was, but I do know I was the only one on my team who did not have to change batteries. The light held
up very well to the abuse I doled out. I left the light hanging on the side of my HUMMV one morning ( kept it near
my cot at night, did not have the luxury of a tent ) as I drove off to a linkup. I did not even consider where the
light was until that night when I was getting ready for the nights actions. Then I remembered where it had been.
I was upset to have been so dumb as to lose such a fine piece of equipment. I said something about the light to
one of the soldiers I was working with. He asked what it looked like. He said he had found a flashlight in the road
that day, it had been run over a couple of times by trucks (dirt trails in the desert ), but still worked. When he
brought out the light, it was indeed mine. I just wanted you to know I am pleased to have purchased the light , and
will look to you and your company for future needs. I will also be recommending you and your products to my friends.
Thanks,"

"Art Bell has said the new LED
Flashlites you offer, will shine under water. I have only had mine a week or two, but within the first few days
after receiving the light machine, I put mine through, in my opinion, just as hard of a test. A few days after receiving
the light machine, I used it to check under my hood, the fluid levels of my car. It was dusk and the light was a
wonderful aid. When finished, I closed the hood and went back inside. The next few days I wondered where I had put
my new light machine and passed it off to my usual lack of organization. Almost 4 days later, a coworker came in
where I work and said he had parked his car next to mine under the covered parking where we work. He asked what would
be on under my hood like a hood light? I said I didn't think mine worked anymore and he suggested I check on it because
he could definitely see a light showing out from the hood seam. As soon as I could get away to the parking lot, I
did check it out and sure enough you could easily see a light showing from the hood seam on the driver's side. Not
only that, but I saw that black, end-plastic, button thingee, at the end of the carrying cord barely visible on the outside
of the hood, something I had not noticed before. I opened the hood and there was the light machine from C. Crane,
still on, shining brightly after almost four days of riding in an indentation under the hood edge, held in place and
not allowed to fall to the ground and be lost forever by the hood slamming down on the end of the cord carrier. Keep
in mind the LED light machine had been subject to almost 4 days of extreme heat, laying there next to that engine
and with me driving in 90+ degree, Oklahoma heat. It still shines brightly. Thanks for selling such useful items. Yeah,
I know, you make money off them, but you could be selling merchandise that wasn't nearly as much service to the public
and still making money. Keep up the good work. Truly a very pleased C. Crane Customer,"

I ordered at the last minute a LED Trek flashlight from you last year, just days before I was to be deployed to
Iraq with the US Air Force. The delivery made it to my house a day or two before I took the long flight over the pond.
I have to tell you it worked the entire four months I was there without a single battery change. And this was field
conditions, living in a tent, under lots of mortar and missile attacks on our compound. This black beauty hung from my
protective armor vest 24X7, and took a darn good beating without a single problem. I drug that thing around crawling
through mud, gravel, rocks, you name it, and it took everything I threw at it without a single malfunction. It's the best
money I have spent on a flashlight anywhere, including the many conventional MAG lights I have been issued by the government.
Thanks for expediting my shipment and for a fantastic product like the CC TREK flashlight!
Thank you--
PS--I now carry that same light in my truck everywhere I go. I might even change the batteries someday!

I purchased this new C. Crane flashlight several months ago and although I have several other higher end flashlights
( Surefire, and your own 6 & 7 LED flashlights ), this new 4 LED model has them all WHIPPED.
I just recently went through almost 4 days without power due to the powerfull storm that hit the Mendocino coast
and I have to honestly tell you that your new 4 LED flashlight IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST emergency flashlight that a person
can have. Although I have other flashlights and a LED camping lantern ( that I purchased from C. Crane ) it was the Treklite
4 LED that is used almost exclusively during this power outage. It also make a good area light when pointed upwards
towards a light colored ceiling as well as other general use. Even though I used it for many, many hours the batteries
still do NOT need changing.
In short, I recommend without reservation this flashlight for anyone who might need plenty of light for extended periods
without having to worry about running short on batteries. The flashight is also very easy to carry with you and will
not roll off a surface when you are trying to prop it on something for cooking, shaving or other similiar uses.

Hey you guys.., My dear friends live in Ferndale and gave me one of your
first LED Flashlights for my birthday in either 2000 or 2001. It's been my favorite and my "go to" light all these
years, and today... I finally had to change the original batteries! OMG! Talk about conserving energy. Amazing....
Thanks, Sincerely...

I ordered the CC Trekker in 2000. It was ordered as much
for its name as its reported performance. I had a bacback
called "Trekker", a tent called "Trekker",
and now I had a Trekker flashlight. My website had the word
Trekker in it, and also I created a Trekker email address;
which is still active these many years later. I even called
myself Trekker. In January of 2001, I started my adventure
and trekked across the USA. It was an amazing adventure.
My CC Trekker had it at least as rough as I did. It got
stepped on, dropped into boiling water, dropped, thrown,
and in general, abused. Oh yeah, it was used as a reading
lamp and the light I used at night so I could write in my
daily log. I finally had to change the batteries in 2004.
I have since ordered the 4bulb replacement and the new model
for my truck. Thanks for a damn fine product.
