The Holiday Season is officially upon us, and it's time to start thinking
about gifts for friends, family and co-workers. As C. Crane, we know
how hard it can be to get the right gift for someone, that's why we've
decided to make up a short list of items that we carry - enough to
help you match a gift to a face or personality.
Gift occasions are times when you can give someone something that they never
knew they needed. Sure, kids make up lists of things they'd like from
Santa, and we probably grow up still thinking that way a bit - but
it's almost always more fun to give or receive something unexpected,
especially after that unexpected something becomes a part of your daily
life.
A Flashlight for the Cold
Take the Lithium Trek Light - perhaps it's not something you've considered
before. But as the winter looms, and it seems we're going to have a
long winter this season, a lithium-powered flashlight might be one
of the most practical presents you could give. You can't just pop a
lithium battery into any flashlight - it has to be designed to work
with it - but a lithium powered flashlight can make the difference
in the middle of winter. I always keep flashlights in my car, and last
winter, when I pulled one out to help me look under the hood, the flashlight
was ruined. Over the course of the winter, the freezing cold had killed
the alkaline batteries in the flashlight, and they had leaked. If I'd
had a lithium flashlight in there, that wouldn't have happened. Take
a look at all of C.
Crane's LED flashlights.
Pillow Speakers and Smelly Fish
Getting the right gift isn't just about preparing for winter. It's also about
the comforts of home. Think of how happy you could make a couple when
one of them unwraps a SoftSpeaker
Pillow Speaker - especially if one of them is a radio fan, and the other likes to sleep with
silence. The quiet comfort of a pillow speaker can save a marriage - especially for someone
spending a lot of time with relatives during the holidays. My dad likes to tell me
that family is like fish, great for three days, and then . . .
Carve that Holiday Feast with Ease
If you know a budding chef, the
Accusharp Knife Sharpener could make a fine gift. It's easy to use,
and incredibly effective. It can sharpen even the dullest knife in
a kitchen, and keep that knife sharp for years to come. If you've ever
had the pleasure of slicing through a tomato effortlessly, you know
the satisfying sensation of using a freshly sharpened knife.
Tried and True Radios
And of course there are radios. Perhaps someone you know has admired your
CCRadio, and has mentioned hearing about C. Crane on their favorite
radio talk show. If they've never ordered from C. Crane, you could
welcome them to this community of radio listeners with the CC
Radio plus. And if they already have a CCRadio then the VersaCorder might
be the ideal companion gift - something to help people catch their
favorite radio programs throughout the busy holiday season and beyond.
Shortwave radios also make a hot gift. The Sangean
ATS 505P (in short supply) an affordable, high quality shortwave
that can give anyone access to the voices of the world.
Stuff for the Stocking
As for stocking stuffers - C. Crane has plenty for you there as well.
Key chains don't have to hold just keys - they can be turned into useful
mini-tool kits by adding a M4 Seber Tool and then enhanced even more with a
Knifelite.
The combination of these two key chain gadgets can bring a big sense
of relief if someone is stuck in the dark and needs a screw driver,
pliers, or wire cutter. Another great stocking stuffer is the Sangean
DT400W, a portable radio that packs a lot of sound and has
great reception. It's a great radio to have at a football game.
