My Gozo and I have come to know each other pretty well in the 2 months since my purchase in March, 2012. First the good points: The audio is wonderful. The ability to crank up that tone dial and get such rich sounding bass for both music and talk radio in such a small radio is phenomenal. This speaker is really top notch. And I love the design. The nice little industrial style retractable steel handle is very cool, functional, and easy to adjust for use. I purchased my Gozo based on the high expectations of all the C Crane radios I have purchased in the past and upon the high praise in the Reviews section. My major disappointment lies in its most weak performance with FM signals that are not of the highest power. In my area, we have some quite powerful signals, and a number of less powerful. The NPR station and the community station that I most listen to are both NOT picked up well where I live. These same stations ARE picked up very well with all my radios... CC Radio, CC Radio Plus, Sangean DT200, and my large component stereo receiver.
So to discover this in my new Gozo was a huge surprise and a disappointment. In my house, I can find a "sweet" spot for these weaker signals, and if I leave the radio right there, it comes in but not at a very good volume at all. (i.e., cannot hear it well from across the room!) So, I cannot move it around, thus reducing the Gozo's portability to the extreme. (Note: I have found that I can add a little bit to the FM reception by leaving my 6 foot mini plug wire that I use for the MP3/AUX jack in the back. I guess it adds to the antennae a bit. But I really wish there were a way to improve it more.)
For picking up AM night listening, it is not as good as my other radios, but it is passable. And so I am using it for AM and for the MP3/AUX functions. I would suggest that a word be stated in the Description about the Gozo's FM less than stellar performance. I have only used this radio in my residential area. It is of varying topographical terrain, mountains and valleys. When I next take a trip, I shall take it with me, and hopefully I will find it performs better in other areas.

I purchased this radio for one primary reason. My favorite station, 88.1 KJZZ from Long Beach, CA was difficult to tune and receive in the LA metro area. A lot of hills and EMF I assume.
This radio not only picks up the station better than any other tuner I've ever heard, it sounds strong, HiFi and static free, as does all other stations AM or FM.
The size, reception and sound quality are exactly what I was hoping for. Basic rotary controls, available input and output jacks. Couldn't be happier.
Thank You CCRANE!
