Dear C. Crane
Thank you for great products. I have purchased several
pocket radios, the CC Radio Plus, and the Delphi Skyfi FM
Transmitter over the past few years. All these products,
as well as your service have been great. I love listening
to the radio, especially sports. This past summer I listened
to hundreds of baseball games in the yard on XM radio using
the CC Radio Plus and the FM transmitter.
Thanks again

Hi, my name is Jim. I have purchased, what I consider a
significant amount of products from your company. Some are
great, some are the best, and some have some problems from
time to time.
I have to say, I have never done business with a company
who has a better customer service dept. than ccrane. You
don't know how important this is to me personally, but also
the pride and trust you have in your customers. Yep! we
aren't dumb sh..s. As long as you have products that appeal
to me. I will continue to buy them. And the largest reason
is your customer service.
Best Regards,
Jim T.

HELLO TO ALL :
I am not one to write praise to any company but I am moved
to do so now, regarding the C. Crane Company. My personal
opinion is, this company has the best internet ordering
response of any company I have dealt with on the internet.
Kudos to ALL employees of C. Crane Co.
I was going to write an email to express my appreciation
as to their very fast order processing and shipment until
my latest shipment contained one of four faulty products
(LED flashlights) I called for a return authorization (RA)
and spoke to Annette on the phone. She was very polite,
understanding and solved my problem instantly on the phone.
A replacement item would be shipped the next day. How can
you beat that kind of service?
I am a previous customer of C. Crane Co. having purchased
an original "CC RADIO" six years ago, and it has
performed flawlessly ever since. I also purchased a turntable
and a pillow speaker as I listen to the San Francisco stations
and Seattle stations when I go to bed and when I wake up
in the morning.
Again, I have to say what an outstanding company to do business
with. Further purchases will be forthcoming. Give all your
employees a pat on the back, they deserve it, for outstanding
service.
Best Regards,
Daniel W.

I recently bought an item from C.Crane and had to return
it. I got a full refund and a great letter from them thanking
me for trying their product and apologizing for any inconvenience
that I experienced. Plus they sent a $1.00 bill to make
me smile. Wow!! What a great company to do business with.
This experience was like no other I have ever had on the
internet.
Thanks, Dale

| Acoustic
Energy Wi-Fi Internet Radio |
|
My son Chris gave me the AE Radio for Christmas. I am a
radio addict. It has ten presets so, at the press of a button,
I can listen to WABC in New York, Jazz from Switzerland,
WRKO in Boston, WSB in Atlanta, 6PR in Australia or five
other of my new "most favorite" radio stations. I use it
with my wireless transmitter so I can listen all over the
house. The size is perfect and the sound is very good for
such a compact unit. I plan on buying the AE speaker syster
soon. Don't get me wrong...I still love my CCRadio and my
CCRadio-SWP.

| I just wanted to tell you how
much I enjoy the Acoustic Energy Wi-Fi Radio. I am an avid
talk radio listener and have four CCRadios so I can listen
wherever I am, inside and outside. The Wi-Fi radio is that
extra plus for me. When my local station preempts my favorite
talk radio show because of a local college game or NASCAR
race, I can listen to my favorite show out of Indiana or California.
Since I received the radio two weeks ago I have had a wonderful
time listening to stations and hosts all across the USA. I
haven't checked out foreign broadcasts yet, but I will in
time. I did have to spend some time on the telephone with
my wireless router company to upgrade the firmware on my router,
but once that was taken care of, everything was great. Occasionally
there are buffering issues as I have satellite Internet access,
but turning the radio off for a few minutes usually clears
up that annoyance.
I was reluctant to spend $300 on a radio, and debated with
myself for months, but finally decided to purchase this
radio. I'm so glad I did.
Thank you for offering this great radio for talk radio
junkies like me.

Listen: I hesitated before spending $300. on a radio too
but having dealt with the C. Crane company before, I knew
that if the Acoustic Energy radio was not what I expected
I was safe, so I ordered one. Friends: If you are a talk
radio (or any other radio) aficionado, as I am, you've just
hit the Mother Load.
This radio changes everything. No longer are you at the
mercy of your local station's program director who might,
at any time, get the bright idea that Friday night "infomercials"
can bring in more revenue than the advertising dollars brought
in by regular programming can. No more will you worry that
your favorite talk station might be broadcasting Mariachi
Music 24/7 at some point in the future. Wish you could get
the Rollye James show in the New York City market but can't
quite pull in the Albany station that carries her show clearly
enough to make it worth listening to? Simply catch Rollye
out of Columbia, South Carolina as I do, clear as a bell.
Going to be away from home for awhile and wish you could
bring your local stations with you? Well, if your hotel
has open WiFi, you can. This radio weighs next to nothing.
Wondering what talk radio is like in Cape Town, South Africa?
So? Turn it on and check it out!
Afraid you'll have difficulty setting the radio up? Hey!
I went through college before the hand held calculator was
invented and set up for this radio took less than ten minutes.
It only took that long because I thought it best to update
the software (push the "Update now" button) before
getting started. Not as smart as I am? Call C. Crane. Whoever
answers the phone will help you :-)
I'm not going to buy four more of these radios yet as the
technology is new and years from now, who knows? Maybe they'll
cost less in the distant future, but one day I will have
one of these in every room keeping a good "old time"
radio in the closet in case the network goes down.
I sure wish I could set up a rolling network in my car!
One day.............

First of all, thanks for your participation in the 20th
SWL Winterfest @ Kulpsville, PA. I was the lucky winner
of the AE Wi-Fi Internet Radio, and I think I won the best
prize.
Having been a shortwave listener since the 1960s, I've
been disappointed in the trend of international broadcasters
leaving shortwave, especially English broadcasts. This dedicated
computer brings them all back, in much greater fidelity
with nearly total reliability, something shortwave never
had. It's also far more convenient and easy to use than
a conventional computer. Even my wife, who never liked shortwave,
enjoys listening to Aloha Joe from Hawaii.

This radio is fantastic! I think it is so neat that I can
listen to any Internet stream on a radio in a room that
is not even close to my computer. And no monthly fees! Also,
I am somewhat, uhm, technically-challenged, and C.Crane's
Customer Service Department was so helpful. The ordering
and delivery process was very efficient. I have ordered
quite a few items from C.Crane and the quality and service
has been excellent.

Got your AE Wi-Fi Radio last Thursday; played as soon as
I plugged it in. I'm in Georgia and listen to KNX in Los
Angeles through the Internet. The AE Wi-Fi lets me hear
it anytime, and for its size the sound is incredibly rich.
Makes me feel like I'm in L.A.!
Terrific product!

Just a note of thanks: I recently purchased a Acoustic
Energy Wi-Fi Internet Radio, and I couldn't be happier.
This is the one plug and play device that lives up to it's
name: I had it out of the box and was listening to it within
five minutes. And the listening experience? I haven't been
this excited about a radio since I purchased my first shortwave
receiver while in elementary school. A breakthrough in technology
and ergonomics!
Well Done!

As an avid listener of world band radio, I had missed it
upon my move to a downtown section of a large metropolitan
area six years ago. The internet offered me the next best
access to the radio waves with consistent sound quality.
I just received the new AE Wi-Fi Internet Radio. It’s
a gem. The set up was painless and quite intuitive. In five
minutes the unit had found my wireless access, registered
itself, downloaded updates and was programmed for 10 presets.
I had originally used the Philips Streamium which was one
of the first of such products widely available. Upon its
release it was quite an advance. However many of its services
required fees to enjoy the full menu of stations and sound
quality. Set up was tedious and required much data entry.
The AE is compact, has great sound and plays multiple media
types. In the past, the only way I could stream certain
stations was to use my conventional computer.
The AE is much simpler and receives all of the stations
I prefer to listen to.
C. Crane’s ordering and delivery was smooth and efficient.
You attention to detail actually uncovered a phone number
update required for my credit card company. Thank you for
the careful attention to verification of my account.

| CCRadio
plus |
|
WOW! Why did I wait so long??? I just got my CCRadio Plus
and I've been thrilled with the quality and the kind of
stations it has pulled in. I live near Micky Mouse in FL
and I picked up New Orleans and Cincinnati last night! I
usually listen to a small radio at night as I drift off
to sleep. I had to replace that radio about a year ago and
thought about buying a CC radio, but the price stopped me
from acting. I haven't been happy with the reception I been
getting with my small and FINALLY decided to buy a CCRadio
Plus.
I'm VERY IMPRESSED! It is designed with nighttime users
in mind. All the dials and controls are intelligently laid
out and the different size and shapes makes it easy to turn
the right dial in the dark. I can't believe all the features
it has- like setting time when it will go on and off, so
you don't miss a favorite show!
I also got the CCRadio Plus Enthusiast Kit and I highly
recommend it. each of the items in the kit (Carry Case,
and the book - Radio on the Road) are quantity items.
CCranes: You have a loyal customer. THANKS!

Please add my name to the list of happy customers who own
the C. C. Radio Plus. When it came today, I immediately
unpacked it, set it up as per instructions and voila! It
is everything you advertise, I can hardly wait until tonight
when I can try the night performance, but it already surpasses
the typical test. There is one station, KIRO AM Seattle,
that suffers from interference in all the radios I own,
it comes in perfectly clear on the CCR Plus. I like the
way it stays put as well, good weight, rubber feet, it's
not about to fly away or slip off the table, especially
with those 4 D Cells in it:-).
Thanks,

I just received my CC Radio back from repair I was amazed
that you covered my 2 plus years old radio under warranty
and not only repaired the display (what I sent it in for)
but also replaced the RF-module which I didn’t realize was
bad. The radio works like new and now that I have it back
I realize how much I missed that radio. Your products and
service are the best I’ve ever seen. Keep up the good work.
I remain a loyal customer. Browsing through your new catalog
I see quite a few innovative and exciting new products.
I’m sure a few of then will reside in my home soon.

I have had my cc plus radio about four years now, love
it to death! listen to kgo san francisco all the time and
with my other radio I couldn’t even get that station. have
used it camping with the batteries and it does just as good, went
on a ten day backpacking trip in the oregon cascades and
took the radio with us as it has a excellent weather station, yes
it was heavy to pack but well worth the extra weight, we
had kgo up on the middle sister in the cascades. I also
have the led treck flashlight, what a light!, it goes on
every backpacking trip right on the side of my pack, don’t
know what I did tell I got them both. if you want to spend
your money on a good light or radio do it on the cc. plus
you wont regret it. my backpackin friend just ordered hers
for this summer hikes. thanks for the great product, it
does everything you said it would.

| Hi folks. As a loyal Coast
to Coast AM listener with great respect for Art Bell's and
George Noory's endorsements (and others involved -- but especially
Art -- who KNOWS his stuff), and also being an avid radio
listener, I purchased the CCRadioPlus over a year ago. It
met and exceeded all expectations. I listen to stations from
all over -- both FM and AM -- and the reception was incredible
and sounded as good as advertised.
So it should go as no surprise that I bought the personal
FM Transmitter to broadcast from the PC throughout the house.
I have had a Belkin which does a fine job but currently
runs on batteries only - rechargable of course. Some friends
with a much smaller home liked my setup and wanted me to
help do that in their home. So I've given them the batteries
and the Belkin and gotten the CCrane unit!
There were very few dead spots with the old Belkin, and
I could hear the broadcasts -- but just barely -- from the
neighbor's pool deck. I should NOT have been surprised that
the CCrane unit gives me reception to every square foot
of my entire over 1/4 acre property -- despite advertising
only 30' to 70' 'line of sight'. And with the CCRadioPlus,
I don't even need to extend the antenna until I am outside
and many feet away from the source! The signal is clear
as a bell (no pun intended, Art -- but it DOES fit) to the
other side of both neighbors.
I'm glad I got these from you, and have just ordered the
CCRadioSWP … can't wait to get it and then I'll be
complete (for a few months anyway). I look forward into
delving into Shortwave listening and will likely get the
CCRadioSW at some point. It is just a great product and
despite typical warranty terms I'd bet these devices will
be working well into this 21st century!
Thanks for providing your great products at very fair prices.

A CCrane radio can be your
best friend. It will never argue with you or pass judgment
on you. It is always there if you're lonely. It can sing,
play music or just talk to you. It can be loud and boisterous
or soft and easy when it communicates to you. It can go with
you at anytime to anyplace. Its life span can be renewed over
and over again. It always looks good and will never embarrass
you in public. It can take you to far away places or help
you stay close to home. It will help you visit all sorts of
entertainment centers and even carry you to all the major
sporting events. It can warn you of severe weather and even
sing or talk you to sleep if you want it to. It is always
ready and willing to do what you want it to do, when you want
it to. It can remember the places it has taken you and even
tell you the exact time of day. It will allow you to track
current events around the world and allow you to listen to
talk show hosts you may want to speak to. It will permit you
to listen in many different languages and does not discriminate
against anybody. The best part is that you don't have to set
and stare at it in order to enjoy what it does for you. When
you purchase a CCrane radio, your not just acquiring the most
modern technology available, you are acquiring what may end
up being your best friend. Trust me when I tell you that I
know all this is true, because I ended up falling in love
with my CCrane radio.

| Hi my name is Dave and I first
heard about the CC Radio Plus on Art Bell's program about
nine years ago. I've been an AM DXer for years, ever since
the 60's. And this radio is the best am radio that I've ever
used. I ironically live where the world's first commercial
radio station signed on-Pittsburgh, PA.
With the CC Radio Plus, I have not only heard stations
such as KFI in LA to stations in the Caribbean. This radio
is the best for long distance reception.
In the day, here in Pittsburgh, I can hear stations in
Detroit, Buffalo, and Cincinnati, all from 2 to 3 hundred
miles away. This radio is so good that I am going to purchase
1 or 2 more. Thank you for a great product and the delivery
and service was above all excellent. I will always be a
loyal customer of the C Crane Co.

The GE
Superadio III is a good radio that has been around for
a long time, but is showing its age. The analog dial isn't
as precise as more modern digital tuners, and while the
woofer/ tweeter speakers are wide range, the radio tends
to overload, even in a suburban environment. The CCRadio
plus, on the other hand, is a modern, digitally-tuned
receiver that performs well on the high end of the broadcast
band - where the GE Super does not. If you want a boom box
to blast out a station ten miles away, this is where the
GE is at its best. On the other hand, if you want to pick
out weak signals, the CC Radio Plus clearly comes out on
top. One winter evening I was able to listen to WLW in Cincinnati,
Ohio from the mountains of Colorado. Not a bad catch given
that the station was 1100 miles away.

I just made it to my office which has power. I own the
CCRadio Plus and I have loved it since the day I bought
it. The reception is great and I have picked up AM stations
very strongly from well over 1000 miles away on certain
nights. Just a few days ago, Missouri has been hit with
the largest natural disaster the state has ever seen when
over 200,000 people in the state lost power due to an ice
storm. People were hurrying to buy C and D batteries and
they were virtually impossible to find. I have the same
pair of batteries that I have had in my radio for about
6 months now. While I keep my radio plugged in while at
home, I have used it quite often on battery power at work.
My radio is still on the original set of batteries after
the ice storm hit and 3 1/2 days of very heavy battery use.
I don't know how much longer they will last, but I have
finally obtained another set of D batteries. I have been
told it could be well over a week before I get my power
back, and I am not the least bit worried about my CCRadio
Plus running out of juice.

LOVE THIS RADIO!! I have wanted this radio for years and
finally my wonderful new wife bought it as a Christmas present.
For anyone who is into radio, or someone who is not but
Loves someone who is this is the Ultimate Radio. I am getting
stations that I never heard of New Orleans San Antonio Chicago
are some so far. I live in Omaha so I was quite surprised.
Even on the weak stations the sound quality is almost equal
to our local fifty thousand watt boomer 1110 KFAB NO KIDDING.
And you are serious when you say the speaker is tuned to
the human voice. Thank you very much for this wonderful
gift of radio.

For years I would listen to coast to coast am radio being
broadcast on a station located in Charlotte NC The fade
out was often and bothersome but it was the best I could
do with my radio at the time. I live in Baltimore County
Md and finally decided to take Art Bell's advise and purchase
a CCRADIO. I am proud of my decision. The fade out is gone
and I now have two CCRADIOS and am considering purchasing
another one. If you like radio listening the CCRADIO will
do you proud. Now coast to coast am is broadcast in Baltimore
City but at times it is preempted by an event so I just
tune in to the station in Charlotte NC.
In addition C Crane Co. has never let me down with all the
products I have purchased from them. Bob Crane even personally
called me in response to a letter I mailed to C Crane Co.
We are fortunate to have such an honorable company to deal
with.
Sincerely,

I got a "CCRadio plus" when the plus first came out some
years ago for Christmas. I heard about it on the old Dreamland
show with Art Bell on my (at the time) great alarm clock
static radio. It was the best Christmas gift I ever ask
for. It has been with me loyally every night with my pillow
speaker since. If you would like to have a quality Radio
no exceptions then get one you will never part with it.The
sound is great. If you took me to a store full of radios
I would pick the CCRadio plus any day.

I bought a second CC Radio Plus because the first one I
bought was so impressive. A buddy also bought one after
I lent him one to try because he had been looking for something
that would pull in stations he liked that were hard to listen
to. These radios are the best I've ever owned and have a
tremendous clear and full sound. I love the clock radio
capability and the audio and recording jacks on the back
as well as the headphone jack. I use them to record late
night programs and even to play CDs through the radio speaker.
This radio does it all. Please don't change a thing on it.
Am about to buy a 3rd one to put in my shop. I guarantee
anyone who buys one will not be disappointed in the slightest
with it's performance or its versatility.

We do not own a TV and depend on radio for news, weather
and entertainment. Been a long-time listener of the Art
Bell/George Noory program. When I heard about your CC Radio
Plus I decided to order one and never regretted it. The
only improvement I can think of is a digital recorder to
record our favorite programs.
When the local station decided to drop Coast to Coast I
complained, to no avail. I searched and found Coast to Coast
on a North Carolina station. Never in my wildest dreams
did I believe I could tune in to North Carolina!
A few months later, another local station picked up Coast
to Coast. I listen at night with pillow earphones and find
it easy to operate the radio in the dark. The pre-set feature
and the weather station is vital to those living in the
hurricane state of Florida.

I have a local AM radio station that I had been unable
to receive reliably and really wanted and needed to hear.
I had only found one radio that would pick it up at all
and it was intermittent and very weak and hard to hear.
I heard about CCRadio plus in an advertisement on another
local radio station and decided to give it a try. It is
the only radio I have ever found that consistently gets
that difficult station strongly.
Thanks for the great product.

Hello, I heard about your radio listening to Art Bell on
Coast to Coast. Now that George Nori took over I still am

Dear Sir,
The CCRadio Plus is the finest radio I have ever seen.
Sturdy and well built, it has a powerful sound combined
with carefully designed features. It is easy to tune and
the five reset buttons are a real plus. The lighted display
readily shows stations and time. Your fine tuning knob brings
in stations strong and clear with no fading. I live in a
Philadelphia suburb and listen to a radio station from Lousivlle,
Kentucky with ease. It is simply the best product on the
market for radio listeners. Thank you C Crane Co!

I just wanted to let CCRANE know that the CCRADIO PLUS
helped us get through the last 13 days. I am a member of
the New Orleans Police Dept. for the past 28 yrs. I have
been working in the city from day one. Before I reported
for duty on Sunday, August 28th, 2005, I disconnected the
CCRADIO PLUS from my VersaCorder and packed it in my bag.
We lost the use of our police radios and cell phones of
early Monday, August 29, 2005. We were able to stay up with
current events by listening to the CCRADIO PLUS, a rumor
was started that a second hurricane was in the gulf but
I used the weather alert to verify that the rumor was not
true. I also used the television channels and on several
nights when I had to sleep in the police cruiser I used
the alarm feature to wake me up. This radio should be standard
issue for all police officers working natural disasters.
Respectfully,
— Sgt. Joe, N.O.P.D.

Hi,
I just wanted to thank you for one of the best Christmas
presents I have every received, a new CC Radio Plus. I have
lived in a very difficult reception area between Sydney
and Canberra in Australia, and the CC Radio Plus enables
me to receive 2UE Sydney crystal clear at night and 2CC
Canberra during the day. I emailed technical support at
C Crane to see if I could use a 6V DC adaptor to run off
the 240V AC, the answer was yes, and I can confirm it works
very well without the need for batteries. My previous radio
looked like the CC Radio Plus, but was clearly a 'base'
version from another supplier, it didn't have the external
aerial or audio adaptors at the back, nor did it have the
receiving power of the CC Plus. Thank you again for providing
me with a superior radio that is not available in Australia.
Regards,
— Ian Smith, Australia

I can't say enough about this radio! Your book says that
if you can even hear a station faintly, this radio would
make a big difference. I'll be honest with you, the stations
I wanted to listen to out of Toronto I couldn't even hear
before. I'm a good four and a half to five hour's drive
from Toronto (about 250 miles east, over HILLY terrain known
as the Canadian Shield.) and this little gem is recieving
the 4 main stations I wanted with no external antenna. Thank
you. I don't often (well, never) contact companies to help
them sell a product but this thing is absolutely amazing!
Thanks again

"Dear Friends,
I just unpacked my new CCRadio
plus and I'm feeling pretty pleased with myself
I'll admit I had a few reservations about investing $159.00
for a portable radio
not anymore. The Plus is simply
a fine piece of equipment
well worth the purchase price.
I'm impressed with the look, feel and sound. The controls
are well thought out and easy to operate and I really liked
the fact that it didn't require a degree in electronics
to set it up. I had mine programmed in about five minutes
and it REALLY does provide a better listening experience.
Both the AM stations in my area are a bit fuzzy at night
but the sound from the Plus is clear and crisp. The FM sounds
great too! I can't wait to dial up my favorite talk shows
tomorrow morning!
Thanks for offering such a fine product."

"Dear C. Crane,
I put the CCRadio
plus at the top of my Christmas wish list and my family
bought one for me. It absolutely lives up to your advertised
claims. It is a joy to use. From Indianapolis, I've pulled
in stations from Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis, Washington
D.C. and beyond: this from inside an aluminum sided house!
Now I have a choice of stations to listen to at night (I
like using my radio with a pillow speaker). It is simple
and easy to use, and the "heft" and feel of the
radio is very solid. The sound quality is great, not just
for talk radio but also for music. I'm grateful the radio
has stereo out on the headphone jack. I have tried several
radios... and none have the sound quality, reception quality
or durability that this radio has. One of the reasons I
wanted this radio was to end the cycle of searching for
just the right radio for portability and bedside listening.
Thanks so much for a great product, and a good value.
God Bless,"

"C. Crane Company
I just have to write you to tell you what a great radio
you have in the CC Radio. I have owned a CCRadio for 5 years
now. I was recently packing for a trip to the river when
I placed my radio on top of my truck. I finished putting
gear into the truck, closed the door and took off. Well,
about three blocks from home I heard something hit the bed
of my truck. I looked in the rearview mirror and to my horror
I saw my CCRadio hit the pavement, bounce a few times and
slide down the street about a hundred feet. my first thought
was, " I guess I"ll go ahead and order a CCPlus
because that radio is finished." I got out, picked
up the radio, batteries and battery cover. When I got to the
river I put the batteries in thinking this thing will never
play again. To my suprise it worked perfectly! The only
damage is a couple of small scratches. Absolutly amazing!
Not only the best AM radio, but the tuffest too!
Thanks for great radios,"

"C. Crane,
let me comment on CCRadio
plus.
Bravo! Truly amazing. For its light weight, power, features,
sensitivity, three minute time to apply power to the RAM,
quality of sound, TV band, weather alert system, clock radio,
memory channels & much much more; I am very pleased
with your radio. I am going to keep it and not exercise
your 30-day return policy. In fact, I am seriously thinking
of buying one for my best friend as an X-mas gift. Will
I be too late??? I love the TV band option. This way I can
hear McNeal Lehrer on Channel 9 (nine) while I am downstairs
working in my kitchen
a nice compliment to my collection
of radios!
Thanks for a "great piece" of electronic equipment!
In modern $$ (dollars) it is worth every penny.
Respectfully,"

"I received your $159.95 CCRadio
plus (AM/FM/TV etc.) It is, without a doubt, the BEST
AM broadcast receiver I've ever owned --- and I've owned
many. Here in Red Bluff, AM stations such as those in San
Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, fade out, and stay
out for several minutes. I gave up listening to talk during
late evenings.
Your radio has changed all of that. Not a single station
of my choice faded away for well over two hours last night.
I couldn't be happier. C. Crane has come up with a winner...The
radio is the greatest!!"

"I am 49 now, and I have been a serious radio listener
and Dx'r since I was 7 or 8 years old. I have always tinkered
with audio electronics, and have also been an engineer with
a well known broadcast console manufacturer for over 23
years. I want to command you on the design and implement
of what is the best radio that I have ever purchased
the
CCRadio
plus. I have heard them all, and owned many dozens of
portable, table and "HiFi" radios and tuners.
It is obvious that some serious collaboration and ingenious
thought went into this design. I would not know where to
start with all of the features that I like. I do know that
during the first few weeks of enjoying it, when I asked
myself
"but will it do this"
it did
it, and more. I hesitated to buy this radio after hearing
about it on Art Bell's program after I discovered the price.
After reviewing the catalog and website, I had to try it
all after many disappointing purchases from the standard
retail outlets. I must try to comment about a few features
anyway. I like the ergonomics and layout of all of the buttons
and controls. Everything can easily be set, changed, or
adjusted from a bedside, in the dark. The sound quality
is very good for talk or music with a well matched amplifier
and speaker. The display is easy to read and provides good
feedback of all of the functions. Probably my favorite is
the stepped tuning function and feel, along with up/down
tuning buttons, and especially the fact that you can really
listen in while tuning for Dx'ing purposes without hard
muting and without overwhelming noise at the same time.
It picks up stations very cleanly like no other radio that
I own, and I am in a marginal listening area here near the
east coast of North Carolina. I like the way the volume
level is very well calibrated and has good range and accuracy
at low listening levels. I like to see separate Bass and
Treble controls, even though I have yet to need to use them
on this radio. The multidirectional FM antenna and external
AM antenna are welcomed features. I will stop here, but
all of the other features are appreciated. I cannot find
anything that I do not like about this radio. It is the
radio that I have been waiting for.
Best Regards,"

I am the proud new owner of the "CCRadio plus"
and I couldn't be more satisfied. I purchased the radio
for selfish reasons. Our family had planned a camping trip
to a remote area. Our group consisted of 6 families comprised
of 12 adults, two dogs, and a couple of million kids. I
was very much looking forward to the experience with one
exception. The Cubs and Cardinals had a three game series
that weekend. I figured that if I had a capable radio and
earbud, I could appear to be joining in on the campfire
activities while in reality be very much immersed in the
games. So I did my research and ended up with the CC
Radio plus and the Voz earpiece. Took it out of the
box right before heading to the campsite. Not only did it
work beyond my expectations, it impressed me with it's quality.
The one thing I appreciated the most was the "voice"
tuned speaker. I had never realized that the typical "music"
oriented speaker muddied the spoken voice so much until
I heard the Crane alternative. Realize that Ron Santo (Cub
announcer) can be hard to understand even with state of
the art equipment. However, my little scheme didn't work
out too well. A couple of guys noticed that I was plugged
in and asked what I was listening to. When I told them it
was the Cub/Card game, they insisted that I pull the plug~~~and
go to the speaker. So we all sat around the campfire listening
to the Cubs getting brutalized once again. As a final note,
I didn't even pay any attention to the weather channel offerings
of the radio. Didn't care. Until the next day when we noticed
that the sky was a greenish black. I tuned in the closest
weather station and was informed that a flock of tornados
was headed our direction and that we probably wouldn't be
all that safe in the southeast corner of our tents. So we
broke camp and headed home. Everyone was in a funk on the
way home because of the busted weekend. I, however, was
in hog heaven with the Voz clipped to my left ear keeping
me up to date on that days Cub thrashing.
Thanks for providing great products.

| CCRadio-SW |
|
Hi C.Crane,
Thanks for your great CC Radio-SW!
I am, and have been a Radio Broadcast Engineer, for over
40 years, and an avid radio collector, and I also own my
own radio station, a lot of radio waves on my plate!
Some of the FM stations in my care are a great distance
from my home, and monitoring their signals has been a problem.
Enter the CC Radio-SW. I know there are several very similar
radios out there on the internet, but don't be fooled! I
have owned all variations of this radio, and the CCRadio-SW
version is in a class all by itself. The CC Radio-SW as
I have been told has undergone many modifications that simply
blow away all the others! This radio has unparalleled MW-SW
AM performance thanks to the built in "Twin Coil Ferrite"
antenna among other refinements. The FM selectivity and
sensitivity can not be better, no matter what brand and
price, a good example is a station I built and take care
of, KGZO 90.9, Shafter, CA is well over 100 miles from my
home in Lancaster, CA. I live within the 1MV contour of
superpower KPFK 90.7 and on any other FM radio, I can not
hear anything on 90.9 except KPFK, until my purchase of
the CCRadio-SW. This receiver separates the two signals
with ease, and using only the built in rod antenna! On AM
it is remarkable as well. Another station I take care of,
KWDJ 1360 AM, Ridgecrest CA,1000 watts is 100 miles from
my home, and in my city there is a station on 1380 AM with
1000 watts, less than 1 mile from my house, and I have no
trouble hearing, with excellent clarity KWDJ 1360 using
only the built in antenna! Also, listening to Shortwave
has never been more enjoyable and easy.
Keep up the good work!

What a cool radio. I don’t even know where to begin there
are so many great features in this radio. When I first received
it and opened the package, I was completely taken by the
quality of the radio. The radio has a very solid feel. It
is obvious that workmanship and care were put into the design.
The radio is easy to use and has superior voice quality
to other radios I have tried. I have been talking so much
about it, I think my friends are kind of sick of hearing
about how wonderful it is. I can’t help. It is the perfect
radio for its price range. I have been waiting a long time
for such a radio to come out with SW and all the features
available with the CCRadio-SW. In my opinion, this is a
no-brainer. Best radio on the market for its price. Hands
down.

C Crane Company,
I just received my new CCRadio-SW late yesterday and ended
up spending several enjoyable hours cruising the bands late
into the night! I easily pulled in numerous distant AM stations
from across the eastern 2/3 of the US as well as several
weaker AM stations from central and western Canada. I believe
the built-in Twin Coil Ferrite antenna is superb for AM
band DX'ing. Sound quality from the 5W speaker is full-bodied,
crisp and clear. I also fiddled with the SW bands a bit
and pulled in US, Europe and Eastern Asia like they were
right next door. FM stations came in crystal clear and with
excellent sound quality. And to top it off, the radio has
a sleek, handsome look to it! This radio is simply amazing
in both form and function! Kudos to C Crane!

Just got the CC plus SW radio yesterday and listened to
it last night. It is the best radio that I have ever owned!
I listen to KGO at night and the signal is so strong and
clear I could not fall asleep.
Thanks so much for the best radio of my lifetime!
Thanks again!

| My new CCRadio SW plus arrived
yesterday. For years my bedside table looked like a weird
collection of radio reception parts with the old C Crane select
antenna; then the Twin
Coil Ferrite AM Antenna plus a shortwave setup. The new
CCRadio-SW incorporates all of this into one compact vertically
integrated package with SW to boot. I own the CCRadio Plus
and was skeptical that your new radio could be better. The
thought of getting my night stand back to normal after 20
years was too much. I live in the Ozarks in Central Arkansas
where reception can be intermittent at best. Last night on
AM I pulled in Minneapolis, Chicago, Denver, Atlanta, San
Antonio, Dallas, New Orleans, Nashville, Tulsa, Cincinnati,
and St Louis with very little tweaking. The SW and FM was
also excellent with clear reception and easy to tune. Most
impressive and a real advancement in AM Radio reception from
anything else on the market. Your service department is great
too - they fixed my five year old CCRadio Plus display at
no charge and paid shipping one way. Great company with great
products. If you are wondering about the new CCRadio-SW's
reception qualities - they are superior and easy to tune.
I would recommend an AM
Radio Turntable be purchased with this radio so you can
rotate the set in the direction of the station.

I have had my CCRadioSW for two days. My favorite FM station
is a college station that plays straight ahead jazz but
has a very weak signal. The FM reception for that station
on the Crane is equal to a Bose cabinet radio I own that
has an external antenna. The sound quality of the speaker
is noteworthy and superior. I have not had an opportunity
to try to get distant AM stations but local and regional
AMs come in very well. I have owned Grundig and Sony multiband
receivers and this radio appears superior in sound quality
and ease of operation.

Good Afternoon,
I would like to comment on my purchase of your CCRadioSW.
I received it today, and although I was somewhat anxious
about ordering an "Orphan" I was pleasantly surprised.
Your radio is excellent. The build quality is first rate
and its performance far exceeds my most critical expecations.
It does indeed receive AM and FM with remarkable sensitivity
and selectivity. The audio quality is also excellent. Years
ago I purchased a Zenith Transoceanic AM/FM model 7000.
This was the flagship of portable radios and remains a benchmark
to this day. It has performed flawlessly over the years.
Your CCRadioSW is in this same league. It has the same heft
and feel as the Zenith and outperfoms it as well. (now thats
saying a lot). Thanks for offering this fine product at
a very reasonable price.
Sincerely,
Donald M.

Just want to say that I got my CCRadio-SWP today and I
have never heard or held in my hand the quality of such
a small radio. It's Beautiful, very smart for the user to
use and sounds great. Thanks for a great product.

| I just received my CCRadio
SWPocket radio and have to admit that it has thus far met
nearly every one of my expectations. Functionality, features,
size, and of course sound quality are all top notch. My only
complaint, and it's small, is the carrying case. While completely
functional for transport, if you offered something sturdier,
with a belt clip or loop, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I
work as a cable splicer for a telecommunications company and
love having the radio tucked in my pocket, listening on earphones
but would prefer to strap it to my belt when a pocket isn't
handy. |

This is a great little radio. Very portable and sturdy.
The memory capacity and digital dial-in features are excellent.
Reception is excellent, even (unexpectedly) working in my
office! Only drawback is the volume control, which is not
capable of being fine-tuned. It also makes a great alarm-clock!

I recently purchased a CCRadio-SWP online, and I am quite
pleased with it. The radio exceeds my expectations for it.
I have moved to Reno from San Diego County, and I missed
listening to KNX, the all-news AM station in Los Angeles.
Now I can listen at night with almost next-door reception,
and I am often able to hear the station during the daylight
hours. I have sent to you for a shortwave antenna so my
wife, who is a Thailand native, can listen to programs in
her language. I trust it will work as well as the radio.
I am very happy with C. Crane so far, and will continue
to buy from you. Also, while listening to KNX, I have heard
your ads. I think it was a smart move for you to advertise
in that market. You might want to include the SWP radio.
It gets terrific mileage out of two AA batteries.
Thank you for a fine radio.

I recently received a CCRadio-SWP and I love this little
radio! It has better sound than much larger radios and is
the only radio I have, besides the CCRadio Plus, that I
can actually hear talk clearly. I would suggest, however,
that the volume control needs to have a finer adjustment,
as it is usually either too loud or too soft. Otherwise,
it is the perfect "go anywhere" radio.
Dave K.
Arvada,CO
Update: We're working on a design change
to offer better control over the volume level. The updated
model is not yet available, but we will post another update
as soon as the new model becomes available. In the meantime,
we have an In-Line
Volume Control Headphone Cable that provides precise
control over the CCRadio-SWP's volume while listening through
the headphone jack.

|
|
If you are looking for a good, very small radio, the CCRadio-SWP
does the job. Good speaker for such a small radio. I travel
and this radio isn’t much bigger then a deck of cards.
For the money a great radio you can take anywhere.

| CC
Trek LED Flashlight |
|
I ordered the CC Trekker in 2000. It was ordered as much
for its name as its reported performance. I had a bacback
called "Trekker", a tent called "Trekker",
and now I had a Trekker flashlight. My website had the word
Trekker in it, and also I created a Trekker email address;
which is still active these many years later. I even called
myself Trekker. In January of 2001, I started my adventure
and trekked across the USA. It was an amazing adventure.
My CC Trekker had it at least as rough as I did. It got
stepped on, dropped into boiling water, dropped, thrown,
and in general, abused. Oh yeah, it was used as a reading
lamp and the light I used at night so I could write in my
daily log. I finally had to change the batteries in 2004.
I have since ordered the 4bulb replacement and the new model
for my truck. Thanks for a damn fine product.

Hey you guys..,
My dear friends live in Ferndale and gave me one of your
first LED Flashlights for my birthday in either 2000 or
2001. It's been my favorite and my "go to" light all these
years, and today... I finally had to change the original
batteries! OMG! Talk about conserving energy. Amazing....
Thanks, Sincerely...

I purchased this new C. Crane flashlight several months
ago and although I have several other higher end flashlights
( Surefire, and your own 6 & 7 LED flashlights ), this new
4 LED model has them all WHIPPED.
I just recently went through almost 4 days without power
due to the powerfull storm that hit the Mendocino coast
and I have to honestly tell you that your new 4 LED flashlight
IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST emergency flashlight that a person
can have. Although I have other flashlights and a LED camping
lantern ( that I purchased from C. Crane ) it was the Treklite
4 LED that is used almost exclusively during this power
outage. It also make a good area light when pointed upwards
towards a light colored ceiling as well as other general
use. Even though I used it for many, many hours the batteries
still do NOT need changing.
In short, I recommend without reservation this flashlight
for anyone who might need plenty of light for extended periods
without having to worry about running short on batteries.
The flashight is also very easy to carry with you and will
not roll off a surface when you are trying to prop it on
something for cooking, shaving or other similiar uses.

I ordered at the last minute a LED Trek flashlight from
you last year, just days before I was to be deployed to
Iraq with the US Air Force. The delivery made it to my house
a day or two before I took the long flight over the pond.
I have to tell you it worked the entire four months I was
there without a single battery change. And this was field
conditions, living in a tent, under lots of mortar and missile
attacks on our compound. This black beauty hung from my
protective armor vest 24X7, and took a darn good beating
without a single problem. I drug that thing around crawling
through mud, gravel, rocks, you name it, and it took everything
I threw at it without a single malfunction. It's the best
money I have spent on a flashlight anywhere, including the
many conventional MAG lights I have been issued by the government.
Thanks for expediting my shipment and for a fantastic product
like the CC TREK flashlight!
Thank you--
Michael R. Flack, Master Sergeant, USAFR
Kelly Field, San Antonio Texas
PS--I now carry that same light in my truck everywhere
I go. I might even change the batteries someday!

"Art Bell has said the new LED
Flashlites you offer, will shine under water. I have
only had mine a week or two, but within the first few days
after receiving the light machine, I put mine through, in
my opinion, just as hard of a test. A few days after receiving
the light machine, I used it to check under my hood, the
fluid levels of my car. It was dusk and the light was a
wonderful aid. When finished, I closed the hood and went
back inside. The next few days I wondered where I had put
my new light machine and passed it off to my usual lack
of organization. Almost 4 days later, a coworker came in
where I work and said he had parked his car next to mine
under the covered parking where we work. He asked what would
be on under my hood like a hood light? I said I didn't think
mine worked anymore and he suggested I check on it because
he could definitely see a light showing out from the hood
seam. As soon as I could get away to the parking lot, I
did check it out and sure enough you could easily see a
light showing from the hood seam on the driver's side. Not
only that, but I saw that black, end-plastic, button thingee,
at the end of the carrying cord barely visible on the outside
of the hood, something I had not noticed before. I opened
the hood and there was the light machine from C. Crane,
still on, shining brightly after almost four days of riding
in an indentation under the hood edge, held in place and
not allowed to fall to the ground and be lost forever by
the hood slamming down on the end of the cord carrier. Keep
in mind the LED light machine had been subject to almost
4 days of extreme heat, laying there next to that engine
and with me driving in 90+ degree, Oklahoma heat. It still
shines brightly. Thanks for selling such useful items. Yeah,
I know, you make money off them, but you could be selling
merchandise that wasn't nearly as much service to the public
and still making money. Keep up the good work. Truly a very
pleased C. Crane Customer,"

"Dear Mr Crane, Just a short note to let you know
all is well with the world. I ordered one of your 2 LED
Trek Lights with the accessory kit in May. This was for
a business trip to Kuwait scheduled for June. I ordered
the thing a little late, but had enough time for it to arrive
here in Upstate NY before my departure. The Friday prior
to my departure the package arrived, only to see it was
only the accessory kit minus light. A quick call to your
company and a short chat with one of the fine ladies there.
She researched the problem and said she would overnight
the light so I would have it prior to my flight on Tuesday.
The light arrived here about four hours before I locked
the door and headed for the airport. One reason I chose
your light was the long battery life. I am retired military
and do contract work overseas in support of the Department
of Defense and State Department. Many times as with this
contract I am not close to normal support systems. I used
your light every night for just over 30 days, not sure how
many hours it was, but I do know I was the only one on my
team who did not have to change batteries. The light held
up very well to the abuse I doled out. I left the light
hanging on the side of my HUMMV one morning ( kept it near
my cot at night, did not have the luxury of a tent ) as
I drove off to a linkup. I did not even consider where the
light was until that night when I was getting ready for
the nights actions. Then I remembered where it had been.
I was upset to have been so dumb as to lose such a fine
piece of equipment. I said something about the light to
one of the soldiers I was working with. He asked what it
looked like. He said he had found a flashlight in the road
that day, it had been run over a couple of times by trucks
(dirt trails in the desert ), but still worked. When he
brought out the light, it was indeed mine. I just wanted
you to know I am pleased to have purchased the light , and
will look to you and your company for future needs. I will
also be recommending you and your products to my friends.
Thanks,"

| CC
VIVID Suns Dusk LED Accent Light Bulb |
| I purchased some CC VIVID Suns Dusk LED
bulbs to try out around the house and ended up using them
in a way I hadn't thought of.
I find that these bulbs make excellent replacements for
the globe incandescents found in some above-the-mirror bathroom
fixtures.
Some images are attached. The first (globe1) shows the
original 60w globes. The second (globe2) has three LED's
and two globes for comparison. The third (globe3) shows
all five LED's in place. (The bathroom is also lit by a
100 watt equivalent CFL bulb in a central overhead fixture.)
Going from 300 watts to 10 isn't too bad! I don't know
if I'd recommend it for households with girls who spend
hours in front of the mirror, but it works for me!

| FM
Reflect Antenna |
| Can I tell you how great the FM Reflect
Antenna is? I moved to the Sacramento area from the Bay Area
and was sorely missing radio broadcasts of Oakland A's baseball
games. With the FM Reflect antenna and my Sangean
WR-2, I could easily pick up KFRC-FM, which is ~80 miles
away over hilly country. This station was nearly impossible
to get with any other indoor radio, but it comes in pretty
clear on the Sangean WR-2 with the FM Reflect Antenna.

| To Whom It May Concern:
A few years ago I upgraded to the FM
Reflect Antenna for a few of my radios and the increase
in performance was remarkable. Both my Tivoli
Audio Henry Kloss Model One Radio, and my Boston Acoustics
Recepter Radio pull in stations from Boston (about 60 miles
away) with ease and clarity. Recently I purchased the Sangean
HDT-1 HD Radio Component Tuner and it too, when combined
with the FM Reflect Antenna does a great job pulling analog
as well as digital programming.

| FM
Transmitter |
|
I have used several different FM transmitters over the
years and have used several Sirius or XM receivers with
built in FM transmitters. The C Crane FM transmitter is
by far the best I have ever used to transmit an FM signal.
It is rock solid frequency wise, has great dynamic range
when set up properly, gets out well, and sounds great in
stereo. I wish FM stations would take a lesson from this
little unit. I'm worn out with overcompressed, overmodulated,
distorted FM broadcast by so many stations today. This little
transmitter does none of that, and sends out a dynamic pure
stereo signal. It isn't overly powerful, but certainly does
the job well when properly set up.
Nat
|
|
Here are some favorite reasons of mine for
buying the C Crane FM transmitter. I liked it so much I bought
a second one for my car!
- Powerful signal - We have a very large house and have
no problem picking up the signal in any part of the house
and even well into the yard!
- Quality signal - The best for the money period. Full
spectrum sound using the little LED light to set volume
levels. Many transmitters do not have that feature.
- Stays on frequency - Rock steady enough for any digital
receiver. Another great feature that they do not even
tell you about in the descriptiion: Once set, the frequency
stays set even if you remove it from power for months
at a time. It remembers your last setting and goes right
to it!
- Reliable - I have had my first one for almost 10 years
and it still works just as well as the day i got it in
the mail!
And I have dropped it a number of times.

Dear Sirs,
The FM transmitter was delivered yesterday - my third purchase
from C.Crane. It seemed like a bright idea. It worked straight
out of the box, per instructions. It has performed exactly
as advertised in your catalogue and web page, and I am enjoying
it now.
Thank you,

Dear C. Crane,
I ordered one of your FM Transmitters and one of your Sangean
DT220V radios for my wife as Christmas gifts. I was concerned
about the range of the transmitter in sending the signal
to the DT220V through out the house. Not any more! When
it arrived I hooked it up to my Skyfi2 radio and the signal
was transmitted not only on the main floor but to the basement
as well. These two items are outstanding and I want to compliment
the C. Crane Company for bringing great products to the
market place. Thanks also for the fast shipping and your
customer assistants. Both are a big plus and make ordering
a breeze.
Best Regards,

The FM Transmitter is the total BOMB...! In other words,
it's excellent.....It transmits sound in real stereo over
the FM waves with surprisingly amazing fidelity....I was
skeptical at first but no longer.....Enjoy....!

Thank you for the FM transmitter. It is a nifty little
gaget that fits my needs and there is nothing like it on
the market.

Dear C. Crane,
I just wanted to thank you for your help, one to one support,
prompt shipping and doing business from the Internet in
a personal old fashion way. I love my C. Crane Digital FM
Transmitter. It's the best thing I have ever installed on
my computer. I now have a house full of jazz, blues, and
rock; instead of only in the computer room. It broadcasts
my music, cable TV, phone calls, Internet radio, and email
alerts to my boom box radios, intercom system, garage, outdoor
deck, spa area, and living room audio video system. My juke
box and computer are now shared in every room and place
around my home. I have never bragged so much about a product
to all my friends! I was going to buy a WI-FI, but this
was better and cheaper.
Thanks Again,
— Al, Memphis, TN

Dear C. Crane,
Thank you for a great product line. I purchased the CCRadio
plus and the FM
transmitter two years ago and they are still working
flawlessly. I have a 91 year old grandmother with hearing
that's fading, so I plugged the FM Transmitter into the
cable box with the enclosed adapters and power supply to
amplify the audio through the CCRadio sitting next to her
chair. That was 10 months ago, the FM transmitter has been
turned on for hundreds of hours with not a glitch. With
the Transmitter/Radio combination, there has been added
quality in our viewing enjoyment, especially for my grandmother.
Thanks again for your commitment to excellence.
Your Customer,

| Freeplay
Plus Radio |
|
Dear CCrane:
The Freeplay Plus radio came in handy during the hurricanes
that hit Florida in 2004. I was in the hospital recovering
from nip surgery and my husband was thoughtful enough to
bring the radio. When the power went off, hospital personnel
and patients relied on the Freeplay to keep informed about
what was happening in the "outside world." Several nurses
and patients were so impressed with the radio they asked
for your address. Hope they followed through because everyone
in Florida can use a Freeplay Plus to keep them informed
and to supply light when the power is off for weeks at a
time.
— Geri, Vero Beach, FL

My daughter lives in Bridge City Texas. Across the river
from Port Arthur where hurricane Rita came onshore. I gave
her one of my two Freeplay plus radios. Her family was without
power for three weeks. The radio with it's builtin light
was much used during those trying days and nights.
Thank you Bob Crane for marketing quality products. I have
been a loyal customer since 1995 and will continue to be
a customer.
God bless you and your family and your business.

| Ratchet
Pruner |
|
I have been using the CCrane ratchet pruner almost daily
since receiving it several days ago. It far surpasses other
more expensive pruners that I have tried. The construction
is very heavy duty and it prunes finger thick branches with
ease. The cut is smooth and close. I highly recommend this
pruner not only for the occasional gardner but the professional
as well.
Sincerely,
Donald, Warner Robins, GA

I just wanted to let you know that I received my pruners
yesterday, and they are everything you say. I spent last
night pruning out maple trees from our hedge, and those
have quite a stalk on them. They worked great. Several of
my neighbors looked at them, and loved them too. The one
good thing about ordering from C. Crane Co. is that you
always know the products perform as specified... I could
go on with all the things I have bought from you, but you
get the idea. Thanks again for quality merchandise.

| Sangean
DT200VX Pocket Radio |
|
Hello Crane folks,
I received my DT-200VX the other day and wanted you to
know how pleased I am with it. I was so impressed that I
ordered one for the Old Man who started his first radio
business in 1939. I KNOW he'll like this one.
The sensitivity and selectivity are great, especially on
the AM side.
The only better I've owned are the 1950's tube boatanchors
but many of them sold for $500-600 back then. Besides, it's
pretty hard to take one of them to bed with you - they take
up lots of room and can get pretty hot, but to each his
own.
The audio through a good set of 'phones is superb (one
of my cats liked the ear buds better than I did so she got
them) and has plenty of drive for even the most inefficient
ones.
Yesterday I took the little guy to a translator site I
had to work on and it was a big help while trying to hunt
down an intermittant audio problem. Plus it was easier than
hauling the monitor receiver along.
Think I'll leave that one in the shop from now on.
Now, if Sangean can persuade iBiquity to develop a battery-friendly
HD chipset, they'll really have something even better!

I recently received a Sangean DT200V/X/ pocket radio from
your company. I am pleased to report that it is functioning
great ... even beyond my expectations. I am not a radio
authority ... pocket or otherwise, by any standard. However,
as advertised, the DT200 V/X/ pulls in AM and FM stations
very well. And the excellent fit and finish of this little
radio is very nice to see.
Perhaps it's a fluke, but it pulled in 770 WABC, N.Y. in
between 780 WBBM, Chicago and 760 WJR, Detroit (my home
town) all 50,000 watt stations, better than my GE Super
Radio III. The SR had trouble drowning out 760. Again, perhaps
a fluke ... but impressive non-the-less.
The FM Stereo with the earbuds has fantastic fidelity ...
no complaints there and very enjoyable to sit back and relax
with. All in all ... I'm very satisfied with this purchase
and your prompt delivery.
Thank you ...

Folks, I received my pocket radio today, and upon inserting
the batteries and turning it on, I was immediately impressed.
I had ordered this product solely for your claim that this
radio has the best AM reception of any pocket radio made.
I am a devoted AM radio listener; I like to listen to news
and sports, and my favorite station, WTMJ-AM, is located
in Milwaukee. That's 180 miles away on a line, and even
during the day, I can't pick up their signal indoors - or
at least I couldn't before now. This little devil picks
up that station loud and clear indoors and out! I've always
had to struggle to listen to that station during the day
because if I wasn't in my car I couldn't get their signal.
Now, with the DT 200V, I can listen almost all the time.
The antenna wire helps clean up the signal, but I have already
found out that I don't need it most of the time. The FM
is nice and clear, too, and while my FM listening is only
a fraction of my listening effort, I'm very pleased with
the sound quality. I am also impressed with the strength
with which I am picking up VHF signals, too. Where I live,
I'm in between two TV markets, and in general, it's a no-man's
land if you don't have cable or satellite TV service. However,
I have already found that I can pick up the TV audio from
BOTH markets, and that to me is astounding! Bottom line:
I've only had the DT-200V for a day, and I already consider
it one of the best buys I've ever made. Keep up the good
work!

Dear Sirs,
I am writing this note to tell you how happy I am with
the Sangean
DT200V AM FM TV Digital Pocket Radio I bought from you.
I like to listen to AM talk radio while I work so I was
looking for a good pocket radio. I had gone through three
different brands of radios and decided to search the internet
to see if I could find the “best” pocket radio. I searched
Google and found the Sangean DT200V on your web site. Compared
to my other radios the DT200V has superior AM reception.
It is also extremely durable; so far I have burned a hole
in it from a hot spark of metal, dropped it on the ground
numerous times and dropped it in my pool twice. Everything
still works except the locking switch. None of my other
radios would have stood up to this type of use. It also
has lots of great features that make it the best radio I
have ever owned. Thank you for selling such an outstanding
radio.
Sincerely,
— Mark, Menomonie, WI

Dear C. Crane Folks,
Some years ago I bought a Sangean
DT-200V from you because you advertise it as the best
pocket am receiver on the market. I kinda think it was in
the spring of 1996. Just two weeks ago it took its final
fall and I couldn't fix it any more and decided that I couldn't
wait to get a new one from you so I went to the local radio
store and bought the most expensive digital pocket am/fm/TV/weather
receiver that they had, and man was I wrong! After a few
days, I returned it and got the line to you. My shop is
located within one lineal mile of the radio station that
broadcasts on 1300 kHz and I frequently like to listen to
a station some miles away on 1270 kHz. The inferior radio
I got could not split the signal from about 1200 to 1350
kHz but the Sangean even it's dilapidated state by this
time always could. (Lots of duct tape and a few solder joints).
The Sangean had fallen off the roof twice (single story)
and had been dropped Many times in my shop because I carry
it clipped to my left rear pocket and caught it on doorways,
saws, etc. too many times to count. The final blow was when
I was putting in new batteries and inadvertently dropped
it and the ferrite broke in half. Being too weak sighted
to solder the fine wire back together I figgured that it
was time for something new. Little did I know what I was
in for. Anyway I've learned my lesson and will never rely
on the local radio store again. Its obvious that you folks
really know your business and don't pull any B.S. and that's
exactly the way that I've run my business here in a hard
market for 16 years. By the way, I was very pleased to find
the exact replacement radio in your returns bin and I know
that it will be every bit as good as a new one. Maybe someday
the person that returned it will realize what a bargain
it really was. In the mean time I saved 20 bucks!! Thanks
again very much!

| Sangean
DT220V Pocket Radio |
|
I recently received my Sangean DT220V radio and it exceeds
all my expectations. Excellent reception, good quality audio
through the built in 1.5" speaker, lighted dial (very
handy), 30 presets, AM/FM/TV audio, and to top it all off,
built in retractable earphones (and a regular 3.5mm jack
if you want to use your own).
Several years ago, I purchased the Sangean DT300VW -- also
an excellent radio. However, I wanted something with more
"volume" than the built in speaker of the DT300VW.
The DT220V has excellent audio response in a small package
-- just what I was looking for. And the reception is excellent,
with sensitivity virtually equal between the two radios.
I still have the DT300VW when I want something that easily
fits in my shirt pocket. But the DT220V is definitely the
radio of choice for travel (built in alarm clock), and it's
only slightly larger -- coat pocket size.
Finally, keep doing what you do -- offering great quality
radios.
