In our test, we received excellent signal strength and throughput (Megabits per second) while connecting to a far away WiFi access point. We were able to browse the internet and even stream high-quality video at our location. You should have no problem making a good connection from 1000+ ft line-of-sight with no obstructions.

The Wi-Fire II can be mounted atop your laptop screen or made to sit flat on a surface for a desktop computer. The soft flexible rubber mounts will securely attach the Wi-Fire II to the top of your screen without scratching or damaging it. To get it working, you just install the easy software and plug it into one of your computer's USB ports. Once installed, you may need to point the antenna in the direction the signal is coming from. At times, you may get higher quality signals from a reflection coming from a completely different direction than you thought. If you are not sure where the signal is coming from, just rotate the antenna until the signal is the strongest. The supplied software will help you with this.
