There are 1,000 different USB Wi-Fi cards out there but none as good as ours. Speed matters. If you currently use Wi-Fi networking in a "less than ideal" location you will notice that your connection speed will automatically downgrade from 54Mbps (Megabits per second) to as little as 1Mbps. By adding a larger antenna to the Versa Wi-Fi USB Adapter you will increase the signal strength and therefore increase the reliable Mbps connection rate. The resulting higher Mbps connection rate is directly related to faster downloading and uploading speeds.

In our "in-house" tests, we measured the improvement in Wi-Fi speed by timing how long it takes to download a large file from another computer on our private Wi-Fi network. In our own "real world" test we tripled our download rate by using this Versa Wi-Fi USB Adapter with an optional antenna.

When used alone the Versa Wi-Fi USB Adapter's internal antenna works well, though if you really want to supercharge your Wi-Fi range and reliability just attach a better WiFi antenna and watch it go. You could almost call it the Swiss Army Knife of Wi-Fi adapters. When you're on the road, you can attach a Mobile WiFi Antenna to the Versa Wi-Fi USB Adapter - and get high speed internet on your laptop. When at home, connect a directional WiFi Tabletop Antenna to boost the signal through walls. For the biggest boost in range, attach a narrow beam, Point-To-Point WiFi Antenna, and you will be able to transmit and receive WiFi from miles away (Line of sight).
