Versa WiFi USB Adapter II

Go miles! When used alone the Versa WiFi USB Adapter II works well but by adding a larger antenna (sold separately) you can potentially get WiFi for miles.

Our Versa WiFi USB Adapter II has an external coaxial connector (RP-SMA type) that gives you the ability to use it with a better antenna. You could almost call it the Universal WiFi adapter. When you're on the road, you can attach a Mobile WiFi Antenna to the Versa Wi-Fi USB Adapter - and get high speed internet on your laptop. When at home, connect a directional WiFi Tabletop Antenna to boost the signal through walls. For the biggest boost in range, attach a narrow beam, Point-To-Point WiFi Antenna for reception up to about 3 miles (depending on the wireless routers sending antenna).

In our tests we used the Versa WiFi USB Adapter II with some of our antennas. We transmitted a WiFi signal using a popular brand WiFi router at half a mile away with no obstructions. Here are the results of our tests.

We could have improved these test results dramatically by installing a bigger antenna on the router. Remember your WiFi can be improved on either side of the signal.

*Although the Versa WiFi USB Adapter 2 is compatible with Windows 7, the WiFi software program included with the CD is not. The Versa WiFi Adapter 2 will function using the built-in WiFi program in Windows 7. Window 7 drivers are available here.
