Can I use a USB extension cable to add on to the existing length on the cable that comes with the USB Wi-Fi Antenna?

No, the Super USB WI-FI Antenna comes with a 15-foot USB cable. 15-feet is the maximum length of a USB cable because of power loss if a longer cable was used.

I purchased the USB WiFi Antenna and when it is hooked up it does not improve my wifi reception. Is there something I can do to make it work better?
| |
Be sure that the antenna is positioned vertically in the center of the window if the WiFi source is outside your location. If you are using Windows XP, select More Settings then select change and adjust the TX Rate to 1 Mbps. Doing this will increase that stability and usability of the WiFi signal while still supplying enough speed for browsing the internet and streaming media.

Do I need to use the C. Crane software supplied with this antenna?
| |
If you are using Windows XP or Windows Vista then you are not required to use the supplied C. Crane WiFi Software utility. If the utility it is already installed then you can remove it from the Add and Remove Programs area in your Control Panel. Once the program is removed, insert the supplied CD into your computer and cancel out of the auto-run program.
