Prices shown in currencies other than US Dollars are estimates based on current exchange rates. We will charge your credit card in US Dollars on the day your order is shipped, and the conversion to your local currency will be done at the prevailing rate by your credit card issuer.
C. Crane will not mark your parcel as a “gift”, declare a value lower than the actual price paid, or otherwise prepare false customs information.
You may have noticed this new acronym popping up on some of our products. RoHS stands for Restrictions on Hazardous Substances, and it's a directive that could have a huge impact on the production and disposal of consumer electronics. First adopted in Europe in 2006 (and later adopted in California in 2007), RoHS restricts the use of six dangerous substances in lots of common electronics. According to the official RoHS compliance Web site (www.rohs.eu), the RoHS symbol indicates that "new electrical and electronic equipment put on the market does not contain any of the six banned substances: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, poly-brominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), in quantities exceeding maximum concentration values."
While some military and medical equipment is exempt from RoHS compliance, the electronics governed by the standard are among the most common you'll find in your home, from radios to MP3 players to cell phones and (increasingly) computers. In practical terms, the standard protects factory workers at the production level, sharply reducing their exposure to hazardous substances. The standard also has a profound impact on the disposal and recycling of electronics, in that disposed substances will no longer have at least six of the most hazardous chemicals formerly found in electronics, and recycled electronics will not expose workers to toxics as they harvest components.
NEW Aego³! Amplified Stereo Bluetooth® 4.0 aptX Speakers for your smartphone, computer, TV and tablet.
The goal of any music system should be to accurately re-create the original audio. There are many options available but finding a simple yet great audio solution for a special place is not easy. We have mired through, tested many units, and even built a few systems ourselves but easily picked the reasonably sized and priced New Aego³.
For music, the 3rd generation Aego³ gives a deep and full, well-rounded bass while providing outstanding voice clarity. Since the bass is adjustable (five levels) you can lower it to precisely enhance clarity.
You can connect via Bluetooth®, a stereo patch cord or via digital optical to ensure it is compatible with a wide range of devices. The subwoofer can be located away from the two satellite speakers. Bass is non-directional so the subwoofer sounds good even on the other side of the room. Satellite speakers are generally placed similar to an equal sided triangle with you being one of the points. They can be moved a few feet apart in either direction and angled to your liking.
Compact in size, the satellite speakers and subwoofer provide soothing, graceful music for a work/office area, kitchen/dining room, bedroom or for party time.
The Aego³ are not designed for loud pounding, ear piercing action movie audio like you'd find in a home theater, but are extraordinarily smooth and full in a modestly sized TV room (recommended for 20 ft. x 14 ft. room or smaller). The satellite speakers and subwoofer are ideal if you prefer more spatial depth when listening to music. If you prefer audio projected towards your seating area from a central location such as a TV entertainment system or gaming console, consider the Soundbar and Subwoofer for a compact solution at the same price.
C. Crane carried the previous Acoustic Energy (AE) Speakers 10 years ago and we continue to enjoy them to this day. Here is a review in Stereophile Magazine of the previous model.
Note: These satellite speakers can easily be plugged into the subwoofer with the included RCA cables. Wired Speakers provide a more reliable system. Power is required for the subwoofer. Bass, treble, volume and mode are adjusted with the included remote control.
This product can only be shipped within the United States.
