You may have noticed this new acronym popping up on some of our products. RoHS stands for Restrictions on Hazardous Substances, and it's a directive that could have a huge impact on the production and disposal of consumer electronics. First adopted in Europe in 2006 (and later adopted in California in 2007), RoHS restricts the use of six dangerous substances in lots of common electronics. According to the official RoHS compliance Web site (www.rohs.eu), the RoHS symbol indicates that "new electrical and electronic equipment put on the market does not contain any of the six banned substances: lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, poly-brominated biphenyls (PBB) or polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE), in quantities exceeding maximum concentration values."
While some military and medical equipment is exempt from RoHS compliance, the electronics governed by the standard are among the most common you'll find in your home, from radios to MP3 players to cell phones and (increasingly) computers. In practical terms, the standard protects factory workers at the production level, sharply reducing their exposure to hazardous substances. The standard also has a profound impact on the disposal and recycling of electronics, in that disposed substances will no longer have at least six of the most hazardous chemicals formerly found in electronics, and recycled electronics will not expose workers to toxics as they harvest components.
Stop with the tinny sound and the ear-bud "noose"!
The Senta Ally has excellent audio and is light, powerful and rechargeable. You can connect using USB, FM, Bluetooth®, SD card or the included 1/8" Auxillary input cable.
With the Ally you can stream audio via Bluetooth® from your mobile phone, tablet, laptop, MP3 player and any other Bluetooth® enabled device. It is perfect for your next road trip, and great for listening to your favorite playlist from your phone or tablet while cleaning the house or working out. Is your favorite playlist on a thumb drive or SD card? It will play room filling audio from those as well.
The Ally delivers crisp, full range stereo sound with bass performance that will make it the center of attention.
Note: The Senta Ally charges via USB (USB cable included). If you need to be able to charge the battery in a different way you can use the Power Block Dual Universal USB Wall Charger or the Mobile Cigarette Lighter USB Charger.
The Ally has a small LCD screen, somewhat like a radio has. You can select files, navigate through various menu features and also see music track information (by USB or SD only). Smart phone and tablet users can take full advantage of the Ally's Bluetooth® connectivity and easily stream audio wirelessly. The Ally even has a speakerphone feature allowing you to answer calls directly from it. At just 10 ounces it makes it an excellent speaker for those that can't go without good audio at their travel destinations. It also has a built-in FM radio. Apple® lossless and .AAC format files cannot play from a USB thumb drive or SD card. Playback of these formats require Bluetooth® or the use of the included 1/8" Aux-in cable connected to your players headphone jack.
The Ally effortlessly fills a medium to large size room with crisp, full range stereo sound and bass performance that defies belief. This makes it ideal for use with laptops, tablets, portable gaming systems, smartphones, or just for casual listening. For outdoor use (it is not weather proof or weather resistant) the Ally has incredible vocal projection and a wide listening field.
The average run time is over 8 hours at medium volume. Play times will vary depending on volume levels and Bluetooth® operation. Please go to Center Point Audio for additional product information.

Beacuse a Bluetooth Source Device (phone, tablet, etc.) was connected to the Senta Ally previously. That device is set to automatically connect to previously remembered Bluetooth connections when they are in range. The procedure for correcting this issue will vary depending on your audio source. For smartphone and tablet users, turning off the Bluetooth function on your audio device will fix this issue. Please reference your Bluetooth Source Device’s manual on "Forgetting Bluetooth Connections", or "Un-Pairing Bluetooth Devices", for the details specific to your source device.
In any mode, at any time, pressing and holding the M button for 3 seconds will return you to the main menu. From there, you can select any mode or access the settings menu. Note: Returning to the main menu will stop all audio play back.
Some media players (on your computer) that are used to make .wav files can add additional characters to the file name that the Senta-Ally may not recognize. If you cannot play a particular .wav file, remove any special characters from the file name before you try again.
The Senta Ally cannot play .aac or Apple® lossless files from a USB thumb drive or SD card.
When installing Thumb Drives or SD Cards with a lot of data on them, the processor will need several seconds to read the data. Press the M-button again to go back to your previous file. Wait a few moments then press the M-button one more time. Then select U-Disk Dir and you should be able to see your folders. The more data you have on the drive or card the longer you may have to wait for the Ally to recognize all of the files.
The paired connection is now stored but it is best to turn the PlayStation® Vita off and then turn it on again. Once the pairing process is complete it should take about 30 seconds from the time the PlayStation® Vita is turned on to switch the audio over to the Senta Ally.
Mp3 recordings (not CD quality .wav files) made with the CC Witness Plus, will sound great on the Senta Ally. The Sent Ally does not have the ability to play .wav files.
A step was accidently left out of the instruction manual. Perform steps 1 and 2 as stated in the manual. Then press and hold the Pause/Play button for 3 seconds.
Orientate the Senta Ally so that the right side is facing towards you. Insert the SD card upside down with the slanted side of the card towards the left. It will be a tight fit but it will slide in. To avoid damage to the unit, do not force the card inside.
Bluetooth®: The runtime on a full battery charge will vary depending on the volume and what type of audio you are playing. At 50% volume you can expect approximately 6-8 hours of battery life while using Bluetooth with the display light off.
USB: Not all USB Thumb Drives are created equal. Some USB drives use more power than others. Because of this situation, it is difficult to estimate what runtimes you could expect while using a USB drive.
SD Card: Depending on the volume and what type of audio you are playing, the runtime on a full battery charge will vary. However, at 50% volume you can expect approximately 6-8 hours of battery life while listening to audio from an SD card with the display light off.
Line-IN: Requires the least amount of processing power of all the playback modes. Therefore, using Line-In audio will provide the longest runtimes. At 50% volume, a full battery will last approximately 10-12 hours with the display light off.
FM Radio: At 50% volume and depending on the audio you are listening to, you can expect 8-11 hours of runtime with the display light off.
First, check to make sure that you have the display light set to turn off after a certain period of time or turn it off completely in the Settings menu. The display takes extra power when it is on. Second, if you are listening to audio at loud volumes, the battery power will be reduced. The louder the volume, the more power it takes, and the quicker the battery will drain.
If using the provided mini USB cable, verify that the cable is securely connected to the mini USB port on the Senta Ally speaker and the USB port on your computer. If using the battery, connect the unit to a computer USB port and allow sufficient charging time (see pages 3 & 4 of the instruction manual).
Yes, it is possible to do this. First, remove the battery from the battery compartment. Next connect the charging cable to the Senta Ally as normal and connect it to your computers USB port. Turn on the power and enjoy!
Note: The battery indicator of the Ally will show as fully charged in this mode.
Yes, but it is not recommended that you listen to it at high volumes while charging (50% of a wheel turn on the volume control).
