AM/FM Pure Performance
Finally, a radio that is "just a radio"!
The CCRadio-EP could be considered a super radio. There are no preset functions or clock to set, but the ease of use does not hinder its outstanding AM performance. The EP is not a digital radio, but a true "analog" radio with needle and dial tuning, so there will be some variance in the accuracy of the needle and dial.
For very weak AM stations you can fine tune our built-in Twin Coil Ferrite AM Antenna. However, you don't have to adjust the "TCF" knob to receive outstanding AM performance.
The EP has a wide bass and treble adjustment range for defined music and voice reproduction. A large, 5-inch speaker is combined with a hi-fidelity amplifier and a "Music/Voice" enhancement dial to give extra clarity to AM programs.
For those who live or work in a metal or concrete building and enjoy listening to a radio, we've provided external antenna jacks.
Here's part of a note from Brad, in Findley, MN. that describes the CCRadio-EP better than we can:
"I bought one for my mom who is 72 years old and has gone through more radios than I can count. She never could get used to digital anything and she can't stop raving about this radio. The reception is excellent, and it's such a mixture of modern and retro. I'm really thinking about getting one for me now."
We are constantly working on improving the accuracy of the EP while still maintaining the great reception and reasonable price, but if you need pinpoint precision we would recommend one of our digital radios.

The AM fine tuning consists of extra circuitry and 2 extra coils around the ferrite antenna. It should be called the Quad Coil™. It is a new experimental design. You do not have to adjust the TCF knob from the default position to receive excellent AM performance. The TCF knob does have some effect for fine tuning and it will have various and perhaps curious results depending on the strength of the AM signal and the time of day. You should find the EP is one of the best radios you have used on AM.
