Receive Thousands of Stations Clearly - Great for Music, Talk and Sports!

Open up a whole new world of listening with the CC WiFi 2 Internet Radio. Choose your favorite radio program or host and begin listening instantly on Internet radio stations that are always crisp and clear. Comprehensive search tools help you find the radio programming you desire easily. The radio uses tunein technology and the programming is subscription free. No computer is required but Internet radio does require a broadband Internet connection. Setup is quick and easy; just connect to your wifi router with internet service and the radio will guide you through the rest.

Local Radio

If you're not a world listener, select "Local" from the radio to listen to your favorite local stations. The radio will determine your location and even categorize the stations by FM, AM and Internet only.

There is an immense amount of music available with this radio. You can listen to the top 40 in Pop music or oldies from the 50's. Add a location to the search and listen to jazz from Costa Rica or Reggae from Jamaica. Enter the name of your favorite artist and the radio will play stations that regularly play similar artists music.

Talk Radio

Are you a fan of talk radio? Choose your favorite syndicated talk show and the radio will find all the stations that carry the show. It will give you options for listening live or at different times depending on the stations time zone. Talk shows can easily be found by choosing a category such as entertainment, news or political view point. A category such as Entertainment can be narrowed down to astrology, food, paranormal, television and many more. If you prefer talk radio from other countries then just choose the country and the topic that you're interested in.

Choose your favorite major league sports teams or sporting events and listen to radio programming dedicated to your selection. There is a large variety of basketball, football, baseball, hockey, golf, racing, wrestling, horse racing, tennis, soccer and more.

Thousands of radio programs are recorded daily and most are available for listening whenever you want. These are called "podcasts". In many cases there are several days worth of these podcasts available.

FM Radio

To receive local FM stations that don't stream on the Internet, there is a built-in FM radio. This can also come in handy for "emergency" listening when your internet connection is not working. FM stations can be automatically tuned and set to memory presets (20 total presets available for FM).

Great Sound and Room to Room Setup

A large speaker with adjustable equalizer gives great room-filling audio. It may even cause spontaneous dancing at louder volume levels. You can also move the radio from room to room without additional setup. All settings are remembered when the power is off so that, when the power is restored, the radio will resume playing where it left off as long as it is plugged into AC.

Bluetooth® and Flash Drive Ready

Enhance the sound from your mobile phone, tablet or other Bluetooth® enabled device with the CC WiFi 2. Just place the radio within 20-25 feet of your device and, when Bluetooth® is connected, it will wirelessly receive and play the audio. Works great for watching your tablet in bed. You can also load your music library onto a USB flash drive and plug it into the radio for additional listening options. Most USB flash drives hold hundreds of songs so the radio can consecutively play your favorite music for hours. Set your music to repeat or to play randomly.

Playing Computer Files

With the CC WiFi 2 you can play music that is stored on your computer. From the radio you can sort your music or shows by album, artist, or folder to quickly narrow your selection among a huge amount of data. This is a great way to add your songs or files to the radio.

Charging Via USB

Plug your devices USB cable into the CC WiFi 2 and start charging in a more convenient location. Does it seem like there is never a good spot to charge your cell phone or tablet? This radio offers a charging jack for most USB devices. This also works well for keeping your cell phone charged while streaming audio to the radio via Bluetooth.

Your WiFi network's name and password are necessary to use this radio.

Fantastic radio!
Easy setup. Tunein is very good
just log in to the computer and save the favorite stations. The radio picks up the wifi very fast. Bluetooth. USB. Aux. FM. Line out stereo. Remote access to the computer. Control of light intensity. Alarm clock. Very good audio for the size of the device.
I haven't found yet
Best Uses
I use all the functions
mainly Tunein
bluetooth and alarm clock. As a bedside radio
it's better than I could imagine.
I listen to online radios daily through a Cambrige Audio device and two Pure Acoustics speakers in my living room and through bluetooth with an Ipod and a yamaha receiver with two Monitor Audio speakers where I work out. But I always wanted a bedside radio with access to online radios. In Brazil, this is a novelty, few people know and can not find it to buy. It was pure luck to be browsing the website of an import company from the state of São Paulo when I saw the announcement of CC WiFi 2. I bought it right away. The radio is all I wanted!

I own three of these and am totally delighted ! What can I say, they're great.

Could be alot better
Sound is good.
Navigation is not as simple as it should be.
The clock is way to bright to put in the bedroom.
Plays last station when powered up.
Got this as a father's day gift because I like to use an under pillow speaker at night and wanted more programming than just my local stations. I wanted to replace my current clock and radio, but the clock light, even when dimmed, is just way too bright for the bedroom. If I don't return it, it will be an exoensive mistake.

Price reasonable
Easy to set up
A great alternative to boring TV
Nothing that I can think of.
Best Uses
We use it all the time now and can't imagine doing without it.
I used to power up my laptop with poor speakers when I wanted to escape bad tv (boring reality, increasingly lewd subject matter and agitating politics) as I had found old time radio channels on TuneIn. I kept saying, there should be a dedicated device that would have nice speakers and can tune in to just internet radio stations. After googling, I found that C.Crane makes just the right product. This unit works with TuneIn and that is the same app I had been using on the laptop. It was easy to pick up my favorites because I was already on TuneIn, but set up is easy if you don't already have a tune in account. It syncs with TuneIn, and it stores the presets so I turn it on and use the remote to quickly navigate to a desired station. The TV is off most of the time now, and the radio on! Conyers Old Time Radio is the family favorite, but there are a lot of them out there. Also, all this entertainment is free. We also added a radio station from the area where we love to vacation and one from where we used to live. The whole family loves it. I recommend that you set up ALL the features of this radio, and read the manual first, just as they suggest. You'll be surprised at all it can do. This radio works great! Highly recommend it.

Bedroom night stand
I'm a longtime customer of C Crane and have purchased several of their products over the years. We have purchased two of these radios for our bedroom nightstands and use them nightly. We're casual radio listeners and are happy with the sound and number of available internet stations on this radio, so will defer to other reviews on their technical aspects. I did want to comment on a continual problem with our WiFi disconnecting about once or twice a week. I thought the problem could be with our router when I bought the first radio, but after purchasing a second radio I noticed that they disconnected at different times so I discounted that theory. Sometimes I can reconnect with the WPS other times I need to do it manually. Many other times the radio will show a strong WiFi connection with our regular station playing, but we get no sound. When that happens I need to unplug the radio and that resets the radio and allows a reconnect? I have recently purchased a Grace internet radio for my home office and also use it daily and have not experienced any problem with it so far, so I'm fairly sure it's radio brand specific. This type of problem has been noted with the original C Crane WiFi radio in Amazon reviews several times. This is the radio's only flaw in my opinion and i'll keep using this otherwise fine product and reconnect it when necessary. But, I would hope C Crane would address it now (maybe with a firmware update).

Tunein limits listening options
Good for talk radio
Sports require Tunein premium subscription
No iheart owned stations (clear channel)
Best Uses
listening to your favorite talk shows live or when conveinant
This radio is not difficult to set up. You can dim the backlight contrary to many of the other reviews. Disapointed that you need to subscribe to Tunein Premium for MLB baseball as it is advertized as no subscriptions nesessary. Also many of my local station are not available because they are owned by iheart radio. It was unclear to me what no iheart meant. I thought it may have referred to an app or something. However this wasnt too bad because I found my favorite shows on other tunein stations. Sometimes you have to scroll through several steps to get there though. Still trying to figure out how to set web presets on, I'm writing this review while waiting for their help department to get back to me. I'm considering sending it back for the other wifi radio, but like I said it is good for this talk radio junkie.

Pros and Cons
Good Sound
Good Wireless reception
TuneIn website easy to use to find and save stations
TuneIn stations can not be assigned a keypad number for easy call up
LCD screen is brighter than a night light. Need an adapter to use wired.
Best Uses
Internet radio stations.
I was close to returning this radio. But using some workarounds for the cons I decided to keep it. 1. I taped a cover over the lcd screen so I could sleep at night. I purchased some gells used for lighting on line and will try to cover the lcd screen with some red and polarized grey gells so I can read the lcd screen at a lower red light level which won't keep me awake. 2. I purchased the CCrane usb-internet adapter so I can use the radio wired. 3. The TuneIn stations you save on the TuneIn web site, and stored on the radio in the Browse Web Presets section, cannot be assigned a number on the key pad to call up with the remote. Listening at night in bed I don't want to get out of bed to navigate to the TuneIn stations using the lcd screen. To work around this I deleted all the stations I saved in the Browse Presets section from finding stations using the radio lcd screen. (These are the only stations that can be assigned a number to be called up with the remote keypad). So now I only have TuneIn stations stored on the radio. When the radio is turned on it goes to the last station listened to which is a TuneIn station saved in the Web Presets area of the radio. Although I can not assign any TuneIn stations one of the 20 preset keypad numbers to call up directly with the remote, I can scroll through the TuneIn stations using the remote up and down arrows. This lets me find any of my saved TuneIn stations in the dark, using just the remote. I know where the power, up and down keys are on the remote by touch, so I can turn the radio on and off and scroll through my TuneIn stations using just the remote in the dark. As a suggestion to the CCrane software team, fix the lcd brightness problem by letting the brightness be dimmed. And allow the stations stored in any of the radio areas, Presets, Web Presets, etc. be assigned one of the 20 preset numbers that can be directly called up from the remote.

Not sure
I am a very long term customer of C Crane and own several products. All excellent. Because of the Tune In service that must be used with this radio, this product is a very huge disappointment. The CC WiFI radio purchased years ago is far superior. I would say for most of you, the stations you desire are not included with Tune In. Check it out before purchasing.

Too complicated to set up
Manual is 32 detailed pages in length that's daunting for a 78 year old male who is not particularly technology oriented! The radio is just sitting there right now. I'm going to have to open a bottle of booze to tackle it.

Great radio, highly recommended
I love the radio. Just the ability to listen to local fm, aux, bluetooth ensures nobody will be bored with it. Bluetooth is a great idea, stations not available on ccwif2 are on smartphone and can be easily connected to listen to them. This ability shows this radio is limitless. But there should be a lot more presets. With all the options out there 20 presets is a mere drop in the bucket. 100-200 would be great!! However, with the ability to use my web presets i could have 100's but it is kind of a pain in the rearend to setup. Better FM reception, It could have better sounding speaker (I have ccradiosw and it sounds alot better on FM), The radio could have an ability to connect to more weather in Canada and other locations, Closest weather on this radio to me is over 200km(120miles) away. If CCrane comes out with CCWifi3 with all these options I will be sure to by a few of them and tell my friends. However all and all this radio is great, it just could have a few more features and options. Thanks CCrane (my existing CCrane radios) CCRadioSW CCSkywave (great small radio for travel or the kitchen and bathroom) CCwifi2

Talk radio
This radio works perfect and is easy to use. C Crane videos on Tunein radio where helpful. Not sure why the bad reviews. Sound is perfect and will fill a room. I believe the radio sounds better when its alone ( not in a shelf or tv stand) maybe the sound is better. I see no issues with stock speaker sound. Plug it to a sound bar it will sound even better. Even though i can always use my phone or apple tv to listen to internet radio i still prefer just a radio. This is perfect and for me it was easy to use. I was hesidant to order the 2 vs the 1 due to the reviews. Maybe because i had used tunein radio before a while back but i wasnt really a fan. Anyways i dont regret my decision and im happy with the C Crane WiFi2 radio. Time to buy my third radio now. Observer! Thanks

Ability to get stations you can't get locally. Weather
I intended to use this solely to help me get to sleep by listening to news/talk radio, but the interface clearly wasn't intended for use by those in bed for these reasons: 1) When attaching a pillow speaker, the volume was way too low even after turning it all the way up. 2) The display is way too bright, even after adjusting dimmer all the way down. It's startlingly bright in a dark room. 3) The Sleep function requires use of a remote. It is not available directly on the radio. 4) Some functions require pressing a hard button that tips the radio over. I'm not sure why these functions couldn't have been a soft button.

Fairly Decent Radio
I like the CC WIFI 2 Radio with the Tunein portal. It does not have all of the options (Pandora, Live 365, etc) that the original CC WIFI Radio has, but I knew that when I bought a refurbished model. Kind of disapointed that it does not play all of the stations on Tunein, but options like listening to shows (Juke in the Back or example) like you can on Tunein makes it a great option.

Disappointed with the CCWifi2 Radio
The radio sounds great if youre listening with head sets on. In a normal size room the volume thru the speaker isnt high or loud enough to truly appreciate the sounds coming out thru the tiny speaker. Compact size wouldve been the correct label for this radio. Also not getting all the radio stations with Tunein. Over-all this radio, would have suited a College student in a small one room dorm. Please make the next Wi-Fi radio around the size of CC Radio 2E, or bigger.

Love it but could be better
Love the radio but the firmware needs work. The TuneIn software doesnt work for some web stations that work perfectly on my android phone and tablet. Like some, Im having periodic connection issues. The FM tuner misses lots of stations, I need to enter them manually. It would be nice to have a weather app with more locations because it is very limited. The bluetooth and the uPnP work flawlessly.

CC WiFi 2 Black Internet Radio w/ TuneIn, Bluetooth and FM
I have been a big C Crane fan for 20 plus years but this radio is a major disappointment. I had the old C Crane WiFi radio and I was looking forward to the new and improved version. Many of the stations I like are not available, and TUNEIN seems to be very limited and not very user friendly. I am going back to my Grace Internet radio and sending the C Crane WiFi radio back. It is too bad. PR Mulligan

Falls a Little Short of Expectations
I bought two of these radios. One for myself and one for my father. I had some problems with my unit not having any audio when I power it on in the morning, but as soon as I turn the volume knob clockwise, it comes alive. It also seems to have periodic connection issues, but if I unplug it and then plug it back in, it boots up fine. I sent a message to C Crane asking about the volume issue, and they did respond saying theyd look into it, but never responded after that. When it works, its great. Unfortunately it just doesnt seem terribly reliable. My fathers radio seems to have problems connecting to the router too, but a reboot seems to help for a while.

Pleased with radio, disappointed with TuneIn
A lot of streams are not available through the radio, such as the powerhouse local WGY, and a few other Albany AM stations, no WRKO of Boston, or WBZ either, and more,... too many to mention that you can get through Reciva, I look up what I want to listen to online and there is no stream even though it is listed. I always have a steep learning curve when I try something new so maybe time will tell as I learn more. For instance I can find my songs in iTunes on the radio but they wont play. After I select the song it says its empty. Im not sure, maybe I should send this back and get another of the older model for a third internet radio. Our favorite Rollye James is coming back soon and I wonder if well be getting her. Sorry for such dismal news but I felt I had to be honest with you.

  • The CC WiFi 2 will not connect to my network even though I am using the correct password. How can I fix this?

Some router models that use mixed encryption have trouble connecting to the CC WiFi 2. To fix this, adjust your routers wireless security settings to use single encryption, such as “WPA2/AES Only”. Do not use mixed encryption such as “WPA/WPA2/AES/TKIP”. If you have trouble changing these settings on your router then we recommend contacting your routers tech support (i.e. Netgear, Linksys, Belkin, etc.). If the router came with your internet service then you'll need to contact that provider.

  • I purchase this product specifically for AM recordings and it has worked superbly. I wanted to wait awhile before I gave my opinion on the product. It has worded exactly as advertised and more.

  • Very nice, economical home lighting. If you're used to the white light of fluorescent bulb replacements, these will offer the same type with no toxic ingredients or damaging UV radiation.
