CC Vector Long Range WiFi Repeater System

The CC Vector Range WiFi Repeater System can connect to an available WiFi network about half a mile away (max range is about 3 miles). This range depends on obstructions and the signal strength of the network you're connecting to. The system uses a directional 15dbi parabolic antenna to increase speed and reduce interference from other WiFi networks. The heavy duty system mounts outdoors to a fixed location and then connects to the CC Vector inside.

If there is an available weak WiFi signal that's too far away for good performance, the CC Vector, combined with the CC X Mile Long Range WiFi Antenna, can latch on and repeat the strong signal over a wide area. The reception exceeds other WiFi range extenders designed for in-home use and the system works on all smartphones, tablets, PCs, MAC and smart TVs. There are two available Ethernet jacks on the Vector for hardwiring additional computers or routers. The repeater is capable of supporting two users watching standard quality video like Netflix or several users browsing the internet simultaneously. As distance is increased, speed is reduced. It is a hotspot creator that can broadcast to all your devices of up to 10,000 square feet depending on obstructions. It uses the most popular WiFi band at 2.4GHz and the setup is simple and easy for basic computer users.

Comes with full C. Crane Technical Support.

Better than expected for an RV.
Pros
Easy setup
Great results.
Cons
None
Best Uses
Anywhere a stronger signal is needed.
I attached mine to the roof top TV antenna on my 5th wheel RV. Installation was easy and it can be rotated and folded down for travel. The resort where we stay has WIFI service by satelite. In the office, I did several speed tests that averaged 20 Mbps Down and 4.5 Mbps Up. We had marginal service inside and outside our RV. After installing this package, I now have 15.0 Mbps Down and 4.8 Mbps Up inside the RV and slightly lower outside. We are 200 feet away from the office and there is a wooden building between. I am impressed and would highly recommend.

  • How come the USB Light is not lit up on the repeater?

The USB light will not illuminate until the repeater is successfully connected to another network.

  • I enter the IP Address in my browser but I keep getting "Unable to Load Page". What am I missing?

Make sure the WiFi on your device is connected to "CCrane-***".

  • Why can't I get to Step D of the Quick Start Guide? No networks are listed.

    1. Check the cable to the USB Antenna and make sure it is pushed in all the way to the antenna’s cable.
    2. Make sure you're using the Main USB cable connection to the CC Vector. Do not use the single floppy USB cable (not needed).
    3. Make sure to type the IP Address into the Address bar of your browser at the top of the screen. Do not type it in a Search Bar.
  • After I clicked "Next" in Step E my screen shows "Saving" for a very long time.

You should only need to wait for 1-2 minutes or until the USB light comes on the CC Vector. You will need to go to your WiFi settings on your device to select "CCrane-***". This can also happen if you have WiFi Assist active. This is when your WiFi device automatically disconnects from networks and connects to other known networks (popular in Windows 10 & iOS7+).

  • How can I change the LAN IP address of the CC Vector?

    1. Go into the CC Vector setup. Mouse over the Advanced tab and click on LAN under Network Settings.
    2. Change the IP address from 192.168.8.1 to your desired address. Write down this address for later access.
    3. Click Apply.
    4. Wait until the USB light reappears. You may need to wait for a while until it shows on the wireless device "Connected/Internet Access". The time can range from a few seconds to 10 minutes, depending on the router.
    5. If no change, power cycle the CC Vector.

In order to access the Repeater settings in the future, you will need to enter your new IP address into your browser instead of 192.168.8.1. Make sure to write the new IP address in your instructions.

  • This WiFi Antenna is hands down the best. It allows me to connect to a business almost a half mile away. Two months time and this baby paid for itself. I am a very happy with my purchase.
    — John A., Mill Valley, CA
  • This radio deserves five stars because it sounds great, the ease of use and preset stations. This radio will become your favorite radio, also backed by great customer service if ever needed, thank you very much.
    — Pete P., Santa Rosa, CA
  • This is an excellent internet radio. I have had the unit playing constantly from the time I received it. Excellent sound for such a small unit and the remote works wonderfully.
    — James H., Richmond, BC
  • Good sound, lightweight and comfortable; not too tight on the head. I like one feature; it doesn't tell you where to place the speakers, left side or right side.
    — Harry W., Manassas, VA
  • I purchase this product specifically for AM recordings and it has worked superbly. I wanted to wait awhile before I gave my opinion on the product. It has worded exactly as advertised and more.
    — Jack L., San Pedro, CA
  • Very nice, economical home lighting. If you're used to the white light of fluorescent bulb replacements, these will offer the same type with no toxic ingredients or damaging UV radiation.
    — Gary B., San Francisco, CA
  • This antenna does work well; however placement and the shape you have it bent into is very important. I live about 70 miles away from Toronto and receive a lot of Toronto FM stations static free with the FM reflect.
    — Thomas S., Buffalo, NY
  • I'm not sure how I gone this far in life without it. I just love it. The best sound ever from an AM radio.
    — James G., Springfield, MA
  • This device is awesome. As a contractor, I can not access my customer's network for security reasons. Now, with my office on the second floor, I can connect to a WiFi hotspot 1.5 miles away and my signal strength is strong!
    — Robert S., Tabernacle, NJ
  • I just received my EP radio yesterday. I'm totally impressed with the old school simplicity and the modern day sound quality. Thank you, C.Crane!
    — David C., Raleigh, NC
  • I have had only one, thank the lord, occasion to use this in and emergency situation and it worked flawlessly. Only one in the area with radio for two days of power loss... Thank you CCrane!!
    — Vernon P., Dufur, OR
  • This radio is totally fantastic!!! It will provide service in any condition and works as engineered and advertised. I am going to order more units for all family members.
    — Glen B., Bethlehem, PA
  • This radio is wonderful. Small but powerful. Several years of service and no problems.
    — William B., Litchfield, IL
  • Just received this little jewel... did not open the manual and I was listening to NPR within minutes... no kidding. I'm a radio guy and the audio is great and look forward to a lot of great listening.
